How low can you go with resistance on a 18650 woodvil? I run a .9Ω coil in my grand. It's not 100% mechanical is it?
No the Woodvil is not mechanical, it has wires and switches. The standard Woodvil is good down to 1 ohm. If you bypass the on/off switch by putting drop of solder across it then it could go down to a .85 ohm coil.

But you might not need to do that, it has a lower voltage drop than a standard Reo. I find it hits harder and you can run a little higher ohm coil to get the same vape.

1 ohm is the minimum recommended. 100% mechanical generally means no wires, but the Woodies use wires, other than that they function same as a mechanical. Worst that could happen running a 0.9 ohm coil is a switch may or may not eventually fail, but it can be replaced.

ETA - FB I should start calling you Fast Boy

I have wondered if the ratings of the on-off switch come into play when it never actually gets turned on or off under load? I seem to recall reading a datasheet years ago suggesting the ratings can be much higher if the switch is not actually used to switch current, which is the case of the on-off switch on a Woodvil.

The current still runs through it, the drop of solder across the contacts would bypass it. I think a bigger factor will be how long a press of the button you use. Someone doing monster 12 second presses would run into problems long before I would with my 3 to 5 second presses.

Seeing everyone post their speed made me curious....

But, as mentioned, it won't matter if the server at the other end bogs down.

Holy crap ..... your upload speed is 100X faster than mine. You could upload a HD youtube vid in less than a day ... Amazing.
