Yep, that is the mini. I bought one of each thinking I would keep the one I liked the best. HA HA HA They are both staying right here!

well I used one of my woodies bone stock all afternoon and evening with a .5 ohm coil in it and it worked great, burnt up my wick a few times not expecting it to hit as well as it does. I wouldn't be afraid to try a .8ohm coil here, the woodie is not as anemic as it's made out to be.

personally though I still like a good regulated mod. I love the flavor I get from a really long heavy gauge coil with many wraps run up to over 5 volts, it gives a vape that I just can't get with a mech

this is 26 gauge kanthal, 18 wraps, 1.2 ohms, .055" ID, wicked with degummed hemp fiber. at 20 watts it is nothing short of vaping bliss for me. so great tasting, so much silky smooth thick vapor and flavor. it really seems it can get no better than this, heavenly vape.... I can hold a nice long hit too without burning up the wick because of the really long coil, I can't get this kind of performance from a mech no mater what I try :)

to run a coil like that in the woodie I had to convert it to electronic control VV with a dna20. the woodie fits it really well. I need to make a cap with buttons for it, maybe brass, maybe wood. maybe a combo of both. wish I could get a piece of wood that matches the door, that would make a great cap

That is so lovely to look at, I'll bet you're really happy with your efforts. I'm glad you chose a Woody to modify like that because its a tribute to Rob and it just looks great. I only need mech power myself, but I appreciate the work you put into that modification, and the reasons why. It looks stunning, and thats a compliment from me to both you and Rob :)

Well, I think I have given up on making coils. I one of those shorty cartomizers on my mini and it is doing fine. I have watched video after video and I have tried every build I can think of and nothing works for me. The first few draws are okay and then I get a burnt sugar taste. I squank and squank. It has to be my coil building as the carto works just fine. Maybe one of my fellow Reonauts can think of what it might be

I have tried 28 and 30 gauge kanthal. 3 wraps, 4, 5, 6, and even 8. Cotton, Ekowool, ceramic wick, and silica. Different sized blunt needles to wrap on, etc etc. I'm stumped.

Is there such a thing as a person being "taste sensitive" to kanthal? Sigh. The shorty carto is fine but I think the look takes away a bit of the classy look of the mod itself. I did have some copper tape I wrapped around the carto ( heh heh) maybe I can find a way to make a little heat resistant brass sleeve of some type for them.

Is there any place where premade coils with wicks can be purchased? If I can determine it is just my building skills, I can keep trying. Although my coils come out looking just like the ones in the videos. I pay very close attention to the placement also. I have a RM2 and a Cyclone. Seems like no matter what I try the end result is the same.

Am I just plain nuts?? Oh well I love them anyway and the shorty cartos work for now. Still just bugs the crap out of me though. It's one of those little things that nags you :)

That's what I'm hoping didn't happen. I should know more in the morning. ;). And, both my tracking numbers have the same info...

Michelle, both of mine had the same information all day yesterday. I got up this morning, and finally have movement on both of mine. They now show that they've departed the sort facility in Macon, GA (I live in GA). So I'm hopeful they'll arrive today!

Excellence, I'm impressed as always with your regulated enhancements, getting the vape You want, is what it's all about. Once again, you've put together a really clean mod. It's Turbo Time!!! (in arnold's voice)

hahahahahaha yep, that's what would happen if I tried to make 1 too!!! lol

Yea, I have strange thoughts at times. I have no delusions about my skill levels though. I actually am sure I could end up with a woodville like Rob made me. The big problem, I'd spend countless thousands of hours getting there and have a better chance at making a house from the wasted wood.

EDIT:
Not a chance. Now that I have them in hand...no, I could never do this. Not in my wildest dreams. The detail is amazing. That's just the outside. Even the inside is miles away from any skill I thought I might have had.

Rob, THANKS!

I had movement, too…both departed the USPS sort facility in Cincinnati this morning.

Does that mean you'll get it today, or tomorrow? Mine finally showed it made it to the main sort facility near me, and should be at my local post office as I type this. Wish I would have called them yesterday and had them hold it. Guess I'll call when they open at 8:30 am, and see if they can. Hope you get yours today! :)

I'm not sure…my guess is I'll get them tomorrow. They should have been at my post office around 6am which is probably a bit too late to be sorted onto the truck. I wish I would have had them hold mine, too. The woman asked yesterday when I stopped in and I said no. **Sigh** I will still watch for the mailman just in case. ;) Good luck with yours.

***They weren't on the carrier truck today.

My PO is close, but I called first and they verified that they were at the office. Make a call!!!

Just called my PO, had them pull it from the truck, which usually delivers here around 4 or 5pm.
Putting a sign on my business door, be back in 15 minutes, It's woodvil time!!:)

Wish my post office was nice like this. I called them when they opened, and they gave me the run around saying that they had to attempt delivery first...:( I guess I'll just have to wait till 3 pm and hope it shows up. Let the mailman stalking begin!
