well I used one of my woodies bone stock all afternoon and evening with a .5 ohm coil in it and it worked great, burnt up my wick a few times not expecting it to hit as well as it does. I wouldn't be afraid to try a .8ohm coil here, the woodie is not as anemic as it's made out to be.
personally though I still like a good regulated mod. I love the flavor I get from a really long heavy gauge coil with many wraps run up to over 5 volts, it gives a vape that I just can't get with a mech
this is 26 gauge kanthal, 18 wraps, 1.2 ohms, .055" ID, wicked with degummed hemp fiber. at 20 watts it is nothing short of vaping bliss for me. so great tasting, so much silky smooth thick vapor and flavor. it really seems it can get no better than this, heavenly vape.... I can hold a nice long hit too without burning up the wick because of the really long coil, I can't get this kind of performance from a mech no mater what I try
to run a coil like that in the woodie I had to convert it to electronic control VV with a dna20. the woodie fits it really well. I need to make a cap with buttons for it, maybe brass, maybe wood. maybe a combo of both. wish I could get a piece of wood that matches the door, that would make a great cap
I'm going to try to hold out till I can get my hands on the dna30 module for the other woodie
