as a side note this whole thread and this batch of woodies really show yet another reason to love the way rob does business... so many other mod makers out there want to take every ones money up front and then get off there asses and try to hustle up mods to deliver to all those waiting, making them wait and wait and wait all while the customers money is already in there pocket and then they delay and delay because they already got there reward. rob on the other hand does it right, finance the batch out of his own pocket and don't take peoples money until he has the mod ready to ship. it's amazing how screwed up most other mod makers are in this regard alone...

money up front? no problem but then i get to choose the wood!, by which i mean HRH does.

i'm interested in this because i never got a mod i'd not already paid for. In fact - the only place you get the goods before you pay is a restaurant.

All of which is a fascinating diversion from what is important, which is my BeCu firing pin!

Are we there yet?????

I've got money sitting in Paypal, and I'm trying really hard to keep my trigger finger away from the classies until the Woodvils go for sale. I had more money in there than now, actually and those darn pretty REO's get thrown up on the classies.

Luckily I've resisted the past few that have been up. Wasn't easy though.

I'm sure Rob doesn't mind - every time I do that, there's a PM going "might as well send me another invoice for another RM2 please - thank you!"

Leave the doors like they are with the squared hole................

Poopie head!

OK, time to be unpopular....

Doing the Monthly Payments/ Budget/ Christmas Expenditures tonight. I have come to realize that I need Rob to post his big sale the week AFTER Christmas !

Rob, you're working entirely too hard. Take a day off. Take the weekend off, in fact, relax and spend time with you're family and loved ones. It's the Holiday Season, Rob, you should take time to enjoy the Blessings you've been given in this life. Relax, enjoy, be at Peace :)

(somebody send the EMT by Dennis' place. His program just crashed and burned)

i can wait too. gives me more time to save up, cause I refuse to use any more credit!

and on another note....

are we there yet?

Are you sure you want a Woodvil? Sure they look great but do you really want a pretty vaping machine?

Here's what I think. A little background first.

I have a Reo Grand. Its almost 3 years old. Being that it was my only Reo I used it all time 24/7 365 for all those years. It durable and vapes great. About six weeks ago I was gifted a Woodvil... wenge body, maple door.

Since the Woodvils arrival I pick up my Grand a couple times a day now to see if its OK. I use the Woodvil all the time and the Grand has become a backup devise. When I leave the house the Woodvil rides with me. At home the Woodvil is within arms reach. I don't have to monkey with the firing pin. The button works great and feels good. Its on or off, no in between. The feeling in the hand is great. Its more rounded along the edges. When its cold it doesn't pick up the cold like the Grand does. The Woodvil is also about 20% lighter than my Grand so its more shirt pocket friendly. It vapes great. I think it vapes a little more efficiently than the Grand meaning it vapes a bit hotter. As far as looks go I put it at a different level than the Grand. That organic wood is beautiful and classy looking. Just casually put it on a table in front of someone and see the reactions and questions about it. The craftsmanship and wood speaks for itself.

I'm not putting down the Grand here. I love my Grand and it served me amazing well for many years.

Anyway I thought I would share my experience with my Woodvil since I have lots of experience with Grands. So if you don't have a Woodvil, do you really want one?

^^^^ very well said, Laurin.....and all true. I'm using my Woodvil right now because it's so cold, even in my house, that it just feels better in my hand. And it is lighter than my Grands....that's a nice change. I do love the button, and I agree it hits a little harder than the all-mechanicals.....and the beauty of it, well, there are not enough words for that.

Karen Covers. I have two minis, a 14500 and a 2.1, that travel well and are warm to the touch in the covers Karen so graciously made and sent to me. I also have a VV Grand that never leaves the house. Should I get a Woodvil or a wood 18490 it would take up permanent residence beside my VV Grand as evening vaping machines- favorite juices only as I unwind from a long day.
