:) I am going to try replacing the connection, or drilling it. Worse case I can use it on my little stealth gripper I take out with me. I won't know till I see it. For the price I figured it was worth a shot.

But I do know what you mean as far as juice running through it. I like to tinker so who knows. I may be able to rig her up.

I know I know, why not just get a VV Grand?? Well, that's no fun can't mess with that.

from what I understand wood will darken and turn brownish no matter what you do, the best you can do is slow it down somewhat but there is no way a bright red cocobolo can possibly still be a bright red cocobolo 5 years later no matter what you do. UV is only part of the problem, the wood oxidises and there is no way to keep oxygen out :) here is a good resource on this

ohhhhh you big ol bunch of party poopers LOL

Trying to take all my fun away. Ha Ha. I will see what I can do with it if anything. By the time I am done I will have rebuilt the whole mod. Nah, not gonna go that far. At least it will give me something to do. This staying at home stuff is for the birds! And I am tired of building computers so I have to find something else to build.

Oh and squonking is gonna be a PAIN! Lol

Sunday morning learning:

I was searching for Cocobolo with both the reddish color with the creamy white. Just looking for any specific information. I had heard it was Mexican Cocobolo.

Found out the white/tan color was called sapwood. That lead to a little more research!

I have a few bookmarks of sites that give really good information on woods.

This is what I learned, from
HERE:

HOW WOOD GROWS

At the very center is the pith. In some trees, this is much softer and possibly a different color than the surrounding heartwood. Heartwood is made up of dead cells that no longer serve any purpose except to support the tree. Next is the sapwood, which carries water, minerals, and plant sugars between the roots and the leaves. This is often lighter in color than the heartwood. Outside the sapwood, close to the surface, is the cambium, a thin layer of living cells. These cells manufacture the wood as they grow. The cambium is covered by a protective layer of bark. The cambium grows rapidly at the beginning of each growing season, creating light colored springwood. As the climate warms, it slows down and produces darker summerwood. This later growth is somewhat denser and harder than the early springwood. As the weather turns cold, the cambium becomes dormant until the next spring. This cycle produces distinctive growth rings.

Just thought I would share! I love learning about the woods! I have a Woodvil coming made of Cocobolo (heartwood & sapwood).

Sounds like you have another "Woodvil of Distinction" to add to your collection! :)

I'm checking my box daily hoping that my woody has arrived on this side of the world... Soon! Maybe another few days... Maybe a couple weeks... Who knows.

Sent from the zoo using Tapatypo 2

Sure hope it gets there soon for you!

Stay safe and be careful sweetie!

No the upgrades are only for metals. I'm pretty sure your limits on how low you can go will governed be the max amp load of the small battery and not the mod itself.
Sorry I might be reading that wrong, did you a mini with 14500 batteries or an 18490 Woodvil?
