I can say that, as of yesterday I am 30 days without smoking. The headache, shakes, chills, restlessness, and anxiety will go away. Breathing, smells, taste, will return with full force. You will start to notice that your triggers will push you to you PV instead of a smoke.

Not sure about everyone else but I now feel a sense of pride when I am around smokers and I pull out my Ego. You will answer many questions and share with others and you learn more. I know that while it may not be the best, it is a hell of a lot better than what I was doing before.

Keep it up and you will not regret it.

I quit on regular nic juice and it was tough as hell. If I had to do it over again I would definitely have plenty of WTA juice around. After a month I was still craving the relaxation and the mood elevation that cigarettes gave me, however there are several other nicotine like substances that aren't in regular nicotine juice but are in whole tobacco alkaloid juice. If you find that you are wanting a cigarette at all this takes care of it for a lot of people.

With that said though, at best it still can be tough to kick the habit, although with vaping it will be way easier than other means. I've been trying to quit since the 70's and nothing worked at all until I started vaping, and it took me over a year of vaping and smoking both to be able to hack it and get through it. Keep your mind on your goal and don't give up.

1) Err on the side of lots of nicotine at first to keep cigs away. Retain all your habits--enjoy that morning coffee and after meal vape.

2) HAVE BACKUPS!!! Are you covered if your battery breaks? Charger breaks? Have a passthrough for the car for a trip or power outage? Have enough cartos or juice to last you if your vendor blows a shipment? Have enough cases and charged bats to go to that 12 hour event/party/work sales rollout?

Be prepared! If you aren't and your crappy PCC breaks at that party or your ONE battery dies at that wedding, you will be bumming smokes.

3) One of my happiest moments, as an 808d battery user, is ditching that personal charger and simply carrying charged batteries in a little case. So whatever battery you use, get some case to carry a spare or several charged spares if they are small--then you will never have to hassle with a PCC and worry if it breaks you will be screwed. Case+spare bats=makes going out easy. I remember going to my first 2pm bar-b-que to all night party with 2 pccs -- one in each pocket -- a small case and a carto case and it truly sucked! One small 100s case can hold 2-3 charged 808s a large 100 size cig case for $10 on Amazon can hold 5-6 808ds with cartos attached. Friend calls you up for all day event, toss the # of bats you need into slim case and out the door--no hassles, no worries and can vape forever.

GL!

Congrats!! I had a few problems after I quit. Mostly headaches, upset stomach, anxiety and my skin broke out. After the 3rd day everything seemed to go away. I smoked 1 1/2 packs a day and haven't touched one since I started vaping. I had a pretty bad smokers cough that went away after 2 weeks. I will second what Ralikar mentioned above make sure you have plenty of back ups. I have 3 batteries, 2 wall chargers and a little e-cig that is gross but I keep it just in case. The hardest thing for me to remember when walking out the door is to always take an extra fully charged battery. There is nothing worse when you forget! Good luck and keep it up. I love vaping more than I did smoking!!!

I am month plus from my pack of smokes. I am still fighting through some urges at times for a smoke. At these times, I throw in a piece of nic gum. That usually curbs them for a bit.

I was on a cruise a couple weeks ago. The first night about 10 hours after leaving port. I was ready to see if I could swim back to shore. I was puffing away on the PV but nada. So I asked the dude near me if I could bum a smoke or buy. So I bought a pack of smokes from him for like 10 bucks. I smoked half the pack in a week but I got through the rest of the cruise (Seasick patch helped). I left a note with them and a lighter in the stateroom. I said take these I won't need them.

2 weeks I haven't touched another just my PVs.

do most people get withdrawals?

i just started vaping yesterday, but haven't had any major withdrawals yet. i DID have an analog while i was recharging, but until yesterday i was smoking almost 1.5 packs a day, so i'm not sure that would have mitigated the withdrawals. i'm on the 24mg cartomizers right now (yes, i went with a simple 2pc model and pre-filled cartomizers... i wanted something easy to start with), and they seem to be a little strong for me, even though i was smoking mediums.

i'm just trying to gauge how bad it will be once my other batteries get here and i try to go off analogs completely.
