I'll be heading off to bricks and mortar tomorrow to set myself up in a vape kit. I've tried a couple of yucky disposables and they were simply good enough for getting through some nights in a hotel. Then a few days ago I picked up a Blu disposable and realized that there was some real potential. I've been doing my homework and realize that I'll probably make a false start or two. I'm very hopeful that relaxed discussion in a retail shop will help me avoid any significant mistakes. I don't plan on going w/a Blu kit. More than likely it'll be an eGo C, possibly combined with EVOD. I'll be looking for advice in the shop as well. Nice for me, it's a 5 minute drive from work.

I've found a LOT of stuff in this forum already so thank you. And....I've found a sub culture that I didn't know existed until just a few days ago. Nice to know that sub cultures didn't go out with the 60's and 70's.

The eGo-C and/or EVOD setup is great coming from the disposable junk. Let us know how you make out!!!

An ego C with an EVOD is a great starting place. Make sure to get at least two batteries and two toppers. I'd toss in a couple of clearomizers (CE5 type that can be rebuilt) for testing juice you aren't sure about. Not that you will rebuild them, but they are easy to take apart and clean to change flavors and, they are cheap.) That way you don't get an EVOD full of yuck juice.

Just remember that shopping around for the best deal is part of the "subculture." Retails are great, and we need to support them. However, they're not all the same, and sometimes, you can pay two or three times the retail price for some offerings at some shops. So, before dropping your hard earned cash, make sure and check out the kits online first. The EGO / EVOD combo is a great place to begin. Might I suggest that you go ahead a spring for a Twist/Winder VV model. For a couple of x-tra bucks you get to adjust the voltage, which with the different ohm replacement heads is very nice to have. Also you will find that adjusting the voltage will change the flavor of some juices.

I picked up an ego-t kit, double rigs if you will, for 69 samolies. Found a couple juices that I like. That was this afternoon and I've smoked one cigarette since and may not do another. 55 yo and Camel Lights for decades. I'm lovin this.

A great start. Just remember that the variable voltage adds a lot to your vape and you may want to add that to the gear in the future. The variable voltage will allow you to tailor the vape to match both your coil resistance and your juice, both of which remain constant. The variable that you have to play with is the voltage. My first kit that I purchased, was the Vapage V Pro 650(35 bucks). Had a Vapage Titan that was a hand me down. In my area, other than disposables, this was the only kit. Lucky for me, the battery is the ego style, so I went and got 3 iclear 16's, so im rotating 4 flavors.
Now, I'd like to learn more about the variable voltage.

It's been a week since I bought in and upgraded past a disposable. My sniffer is starting to work and my new car smells new while my closet stinks like hell. I had a few weird nights of sleep in the withdrawal process. I still have the same open pack of cigarettes that were in the drawer a week ago. I've had one of those nearly every morning but that's. I've lit a few in the afternoons and quickly put them out. I don't like the taste. I think I'm only doing that because they're there. But that will stop when they're gone or too stale or I just don't do it. Either way, I won't be buying any more of them. This is after a few attempts to quit in the past and 40 years of Camel Lights.

This is easy to be honest. Oh yeah, I had a dream about smoking a few nights ago. It isn't perfect, but it sure as hell ain't hard.

My wife is giving it a go as well. We bought her into the same kit that I've got. I think she'll get there.

Wow. What a technology crutch. I'm not too proud to not use it.
