lol...yep - I get all the gripes and moans and groans I could possible ever want !
Sorry to kill your fantasy but we are all volunteer here.

And thanks y'all - it really sucks...especially at 60 !
I haven't worked since Sept 3, 2001. I don't think Bronze worked since 1797. I'm a firm believer that things work out for the best.

Oops, forgot to mention it. I am using 26 gauge, 316L Stainless Steel. There are a number of people who don't like fussing around. While I like that TC puts a lid on the temperature automatically it's not like it is a major benefit. I personally have no problems with building. Takes no more time (less if anything). So six of one, half dozen of the other for me.

Thank you, Bronze.

Nice surprise for me today, 4 new Jacs arrived to join the party... :D

Yep, 6 Jacs for us now. You need backups for your backups... lol. :D That makes 30 mods for us now. We should be good for awhile...

Now THAT'S what I call a PARTEE!

OK, as you know I was having trouble with my battery door. It was really loose and the magnets finally came out. I pressed them back in place (no glue) but it was still loose. Tried getting the magnets back out so I could add some glue. No go. They wont come out again. Well, by a very small amount each day my door got tighter and tighter. Now it doesn't move at all. Back to the way it was when I first got it. These JACs come with white blood cells.

LOL! Love that.

After a little playtime with the new Jacs, I'm finding they are just like the 1st 2. Battery doors tighter than an old maid librarian & finish and 510 threads smooth as a new born baby's ..... Life is good... :D

And love THAT even a tad more! :D

I finally went to Office Depot on Tuesday to buy a Silver Sharpee. The guy tells me they were selling them for $0.25 a week or so ago. Timing is everything — paid $2.49 for one which is better than having to buy a package of 12. Came home and marked the magnets although I wasn’t quite clear on what difference it makes as to what side of the magnet is marked.

Fast forward to this morning. I was getting ready to go out and refilled my Stealth Kabuki. Then I went to change Jac’s battery. Really struggled trying to get the battery cover to fit on properly. Finally gave up after many tries plus I was now starting to run late. I put the Stealth Kabuki on my black Classic ProVari. Ahhhh — leave the house wth ProVari in hand vaping.

Came home this afternoon and was bound and determined to get the battery cover on the Jac. Lo and behold I noticed the magnets from the mod are out of their slots and now attached to the battery cover magnets. Was so happy I took care of marking the magnets but again not sure why. Since I wasn’t quite sure what type of glue to use I was able to insert the magnet into the mod at the top. The bottom though just did not want to fit in the slot. Tried and tried and couldn’t get it in correctly. So I said to myself, self give it up. I put a fresh battery in Jac and the cover attached very easily — very nice. Take Kabuki off the ProVari and back on Jac now. Shake Jac and no rattle or movement of the battery cover. The cover appears to be securely attached with just the top set of magnets. When the battery needs to be changed will see whether the top magnet is still in its slot or whether it has attached to the magnet on the battery cover.

In anticipation what type of glue should I be buying?

I do believe we know someone around here who messed up her magnet orientation (coughdoofusmecough), but THANKFULLY I had NOT used a super glue. I had some fabric glue handy, and opted to use that. And I'm thrilled I did, because super glue would NEVER have given me the time I needed to push and pull and pry that magnet out of the slot!!!

Silver Sharpies rock our Jac-ified worlds.

Well of course there is a discount, as of yesterday I have no freaking job !

:grr:

Oh YIKES!!!!!! Oh classy. :( I'm so sorry.

I'm keeping my sites on seeing you in a MUCH better position, making a TON more money!!!!

I really want to make sure this doesn't fall thru the kracks. For anyone with magnet probs, I do hope you'll heed a bit of advice from someone who erred on the magnet surgery.

Marking the magnets with a Silver Sharpie is best.

ALSO, using a glue OTHER THAN super glue would be advisable, as super glue sets up so quickly that if you make a mistake, it's too bad, too sad, too late.

I used a fabric glue, but any old Elmers (general) glue would be fine. Those glues will give you time to remove the magnet if you place it incorrectly.

DPL and I discussed this issue IN DEPTH, and DPL approves this message. :)

(TC, as I see it, is a surely lovely concept, particularly for those who experience dry hits, or for those who use tanks with no visibility of liquid. I don't see it as bringing anything more to my particular vaping style.)

Ms. Katillac, you forget the most essential aspect of TC vaping...laziness. :) I can grab a scrap of SS 316L, put a couple of spaced coils on it, and throw it on an Evolv boarded mod without worrying about the resistance value, dry burning the coil, or burning some Rayon. Maximum vapage, minimum effort..for the win woot! :)

You most certainly ARE! You're not in bad company either (but I'm biased).

Agreed. In fact, I would say they should feel honored that the ECF pantheon of Vape Gods acknowledge their lowly existence! But they are a benevolent lot those Vape Gods are....:D

If I had a dollar for every time I said, "50 mods, I should be good now." I could buy another...50 mods.

I'm sad to report that I have a peeling problem on the finish, just above the battery door. I'm only using my Jac at my desk, so I think it's just due to the fact that this is where the inside of my index finger usually lands when holding the Jac.

I still love it, despite the dermatitis, just hoping it doesn't spread too much!

The finish is warranted. Contact JAC. I'll bet they fix ya right up.

I keep telling myself "I'll remember". Youbetcha. I was BORN with CRS disease.
I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've done the same thing. It's during that five year transition from when you remember everything to remembering nothing before you finally realize you can't remember anything so it's time to make lists, workarounds, and notes. And NEVER say I'll do it later. I've lost count of all the times I got out of the chair to get something only to forget what it was I was getting by the time I got there. Frustrating!
