Heya, CMD! Welcome (and what took you so long?)!![]()
OK, I made my first TC coil for this JAC in an Erl built using @qorax video. I made a 0.60 Ohm (locked the Ohms) coil 316L SS. I set my watts at 7. I have a short ramp time set at 20 Watts. The temperature is set a 380 F. Opinions or thoughts?
Nice start CMD! Try adjusting your settings to your taste. 7 watts seems a bit low to me. I'd try it at 15 - 20 watts. The temp control will prevent you from blowing your face off while providing you quicker ramp up time vs 7 watts. 380 is a good place to start. Try going up and down and see what it does for you. No one else's settings matter to you. Your coil sounds spot on.OOOOps, I did mean 0.6 and will correct that. My wire is 28 gauge with a spaced coil. I will juice the Watts up some. Thanks.

I should of added by turning the message off it will still give you temperature protection just won't show it on your screen.
Heh. I leave mine on (Lavabox M and Inbox - no Jac yet). I like to know when it’s doing its thing and when I need to look elsewhere. Doesn’t really matter. <shrug>I did as you suggested, the message is off.

I went to 15 Watts and a 20 Watt preheat. The notice that the temp protection is on has appeared and the Wattage is seen to drop.

I like it as is, I am a quasi-tootle-puffer. If I could come up with a one word description it would be: even. It is the same vape every time. I come from a mech world, REO's.

I keed, I keed. I know this is a TC thread. I'm just playin'.
re magnets: what kind of glue have people in this thread used to secure them back in place? Is it more a dab of superglue, or do you reach for the hot glue gun?
I used enough super glue so that when I pushed the magnets into place excess glue oozed out around the edges. The extra glue cleans up with nail polish remover.

If it aint broke, don't fix it.So, is it an overly radical thought for me to add some super glue while the magnets are IN, in hopes of maybe keeping it from happening?
Hmm...
I just ordered a new setup for atop my Jac. I've long enjoyed squonking, but due to juice always finding it's way into the chip compartment and ruining the chip, I gave up on traditional squonking. Admittedly I haven't tried them all. But I have a Vapor Flask, Gyscano, Sunbox E7 & E8 and Reo VV and they all sit in my desk needing chips replaced (the Sunboxes have had chips replaced before). A couple of years ago I started using the Fountain v2 atomizer with a 4ml bottle built into the atomizer. No more juice inside my mods, I loved it. The only thing better would be to be able to use different RDAs on the external tank. Well this is it,
s, it's a much better quality product than the Fountain, holds about twice as much liquid, and allows the use of just about any 22-24mm BF atty. I chose a Vandy Vape Pulse 24mm to pair with it. I can't wait for the set to arrive I believe It's going to be super on my Jac.
