It's a noticeable difference, but I think it's pretty hot.

That's odd. It probably has something to do with behavioural tracking and price adjustments, but just what I couldn't say.

It is peculiar - usually when vendors lower their prices they like to announce it to all, not sneak up on you.

I applied a 20% discount over the -£20, came out at £53,89 including £4,92 shipping.
