I have three of them. Two can be adjusted in .1W increments, and this is specified in the manual. Those two also arrived set to wattage mode, also as specified in the manual. The third arrived locked in TC mode, which I've changed according to the advice given to me by Sarah at JAC Vapour. She also suggested that rebooting and applying the service packs might change the adjustment to .1W, as it's supposed to be. That didn't work, and unfortunately she has not stayed late at work to continue slaving over my problem.
Hmmm. Maybe I can scare up @bask
He knows the JAC and escribe better than I do. I had the JAC all figured out at one point and once I found what I liked (TC at 430 degrees) I never played with it again and forgot all of it. I got messed up the other day and @bask pulled me out of the ditch but only some of my memory came back.

Seems to me there has to be a way to get that back to .1 increments (seeing your other two JACS are there). Someone will come along and set you straight. I'm sure.

Thanks, @Skeebo! That helped me find where the increment is specified, and, lo! it is set at .1W. Yet the mod persists in thinking .5W is the way to go. Ornery little creep.
The mistake I made was not making sure my mod was in the same profile as the escribe profile I was changing. Make sure your JAC is in Profile 1 and you are in profile 1 in escribe. Make the changes and then hit the upload button. You should see the screen on your JAC showing the upload.

Ha, success! I just downloaded the profile, and the mod now adjusts in .1W increments! (Why it didn't before, I do not know, since all eight profiles specified that increment to begin with.)

Thank you so, so much! And here are a few more exclamation points for good measure!!!

Don't try to figure out what you did. Just be happy you got to where you wanted. :)

I am embarrassed to admit, my wife had to help me on escribe.... and she doesn't even vape, but is 10 years younger than me..lol
I got a 5 year-old across the street I use as a primary source for backing me out of my gadget dilemmas. That's better than having to ask the wife. Too brutal on the male ego. :)

Thanks all!
Will be changing mine to .5 increments, don't like using .1...:)
Probably would have been easier if you and Zazie just swapped JACs.

I'm packing away my first JAC and putting the new guy into active rotation because I'm mad at it and want it to wear out first. That'll teach it not to give me any more grief.
You told it, didn't you?!

Did you upload the settings to the device?
Already fixed?
Well, here I sit, a day late and with inflation ten dollars short.
