I'm not sure when the 8 song first sets started, but they CLEARLY are getting old...

I was at a HOB show in Orlando a few years back and they did like a 15 song first set and a 12 song second set with 2 encores...I would be issed if I payed 55 bucks for this short isht...

I think it is more actual on stage time as opposed to number of songs...first sets are averaging a bit over an hour with 2nd sets coming in close to 90 minutes. still not sure what I think of this first set...some serious ups but also some not so hot numbers...

to quote a character from my favorite movie Blade Runner..."Yes, questions"

Yeah, time schmie...here's that setlist. And there's plenty more that say the time used to be around 88 min average first set...it's down about 20 minutes now...

04/13/09 House of Blues, Orlando, FL
1: Flicker > Chilly Water > Henry Parsons Died > Green Onions > Henry Parsons Died > Chilly Water, Little Lilly > Blue Indian > Blackout Blues, Driving Song > Papa's Home > Three Candles > Driving Song > Papa Legba > Greta > Fishwater > Mr. Soul
2: Second Skin, Angels on High, Diner > From The Cradle > Stop-Go > Action Man, Radio Child > Travelin' Light > Barstools and Dreamers > Drums > Rock > I'm Not Alone > Walkin' (For Your Love) > Climb To Safety
E: Time Zones, Up All Night

I'll have to dig the times up, but we were TIRED at the end of it. I remember mah otha brotha said at the end of the first set (and he's a pro)...OMG! We only get one set tonight! I looked at him and said, J...that's just a long first set...then they brought the 2nd set...

I was managing the Tower Records in Boston at the time and there was this ADORABLE hippy girl that worked there that had not seen the boys before..she was a Phish Head at the time...it was her first Panic show...I think I learned her good

Here's the Street Dogs Lyrics...
Street Dogs For Breakfast Lyrics
(Widespread Panic)
Transcribed by: Alex Moura

Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Sometimes you gotta bottom out to really find yourself

Was in the alley in the morning
Somewhere down on Delancey Street
Said if you're feeling kinda lucky
I got just what you need

Stole a mattress in the basement
Other Chinese ?
And ? against the window ?
All the time in the world

Eatin' street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Sometimes you gotta bottom out to really find yourself

Wrecked his old man's convertible
drove him to an early grave
Now it's back to jumping turnstiles
He blew all his mama's loose change

And eatin' street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Sometimes you gotta bottom out to really find yourself

It's the end of the days of the ? in the basement
Living off the zombies and night of the living evangelicals
Eatin' street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch

Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Street dogs for breakfast
Whiskey sours for lunch
Sometimes you gotta bottom out to really find yourself
