it was there.. pete i think said how much.. i said neat product it should sell well congratulations.. then it was f-cking gone... he he he

a small flat box.. powered by what looked to be a cigar type10440 on one side and a neat slide in and out atomizer (thing to puff on) on the other.. i assume it has a manual switch button on one of its top or bottom sides..

imagine two AAA batteries side by side in a small flat box shape.. one of the batteries is the atomizer thow with a mouthpiece on the end.. and it pulls out so far to smoke.. the battery is held in place by a little slide off flat plate.. the 10440 (cigar type) battery would be removed and charged in a remote charger..

the atomizer would slide in to make it more pocketable..

i probably wasnt meant to see it.. he he he

i like it.. the only thing i dont like is all the legal threats and bullsh-t stuff.. we (research) what suits us then throw legal threats around to stop anybody else doing what we do..

i assume i havnt broken any laws by describing it... just in case i have its all make believe.. i just imagined i saw it.. it wasnt real.. dont believe a word of what i have just said.. i suffer from an over active imagination.. i also hallucinate at times..

ok so everyone wants a cig that's got a graphic on the side of even though it doesn't last that long....

what about if you had a site that you could upload a graphic or pick from different graphics like a little swiggle up the side as a wrap or "a vinyl sticker that sticks to the battery". Do you think people would buy that?
I mean people buy wraps for there guitars for Rock band .. why not make one for electronic cigarettes

oh you can bet the market will be awash with skins if these get to kick off, that's for sure.
I've drawn something similar in an old thread in the product idea request forum. These are all different looking shells based around a cigar model. Feel free to use em Janty! just send me some freebies.Hehe.

Wow I can't be gone for a few hours to get some sleep....

ok so everyone wants a cig that's got a graphic on the side of even though it doesn't last that long....

Correct, and I suggest experienced users wait for the Dura. The Mini Fogger is, as I stated before, a nice Xmas present to those who want to start e-smoking. It is a gadget, a party thing, a little teaser, it is cheap, it comes with a bunch of nice accessories, you get a free bottle of liquid... It is not a workhorse like the Kissbox Classic ok.

well, I know I am on my 2nd glass of 15% red, but I decided I wanted this, esp. with 10 euro discount. joined, bought, entered code.....charged full price. I can't believe they've sold 100 already..could they have??? Bugger!

Let me check this, we've only sold 75 so far in Europe., code should be working.

i did notice a certain bias in the forum.. a waste of time us trying to get listed as a supplier as well i think.. perhaps we are that small fry the people that run it havnt heard us.. everyone else seems to be listed..

the waters are a little less muddy..

trog

Trog, you need mail them to get listed, it's free and you get your own corner where you be moderator ;) I guess they are very busy still installing stuff. Peter and Christian are nice people, they'll help you out.

I think you're missing the point, Ludo. Development can be done without patents, and you have no control over that. My point is, patents don't mean jack if your products are up to quality. For those that try and copy your stuff, competitors copies won't hold a candle to your product if yours is supposedly better in quality since others won't be able to obtain the same high quality materials/technology/standards. The patent just means you own the rights to the model, not the materials or quality in which you make them.

i like it.. the only thing i dont like is all the legal threats and bullsh-t stuff.. we (research) what suits us then throw legal threats around to stop anybody else doing what we do..

You need a patent if you've invented something that you want to keep safe and prevent from being stolen. Patents are like locks that keep your ideas from being taken away from you unfairly: if an idea stands to make you money, it needs a patent. Janty is a legal business, we need everything to be legal and we will still be here next year, the years thereafter. No need to tell you that many "traders" will have gone with the wind...

Thanks for clearing that Knupselpeter is affiliated with Janty. That comment you have made has just blown out of the water the theory that Knupselpeter's forum ( e-cigtest.com) is going to be at all unbiased when janty have vested interest in the forum owner's and vise versa.

Seems then that e-cigtest.com is just a JANTY forum in all but name...shame

so then the mods aka suppliers on this forum are biased as well? I can't even post on the public part of the other forum, I think they are more strict then here. Peter is not going to review KBC or mini fogger or Dura or other Janty e-cigs he worked on. Any forum we have a membership, we get that comment "it is a JANTY forum", why? because our threads get viewed the most, because I have a dialogue with the community, because I am actively participating. You want me to stop this and just post weekly commercial messages? I could you know, it would save me a lot of headaches. I wouldn't care about what you write here, I'd sell some cheap generic stuff and cash in, knowing you will buy it anyway. High trees catch high winds, sticking your neck out for things, but that's who I am, can't change that.

Well, then maybe we should just sit back and wait, look and copy, no need for development, no need for investment, no need for sleepless nights anymore, just cash in... :p
well theyre taking a lot of heat lately...but at least Janty are trying to develop some better designs, and not pedal the same old generics ad infinitum...give them some credit for that...

I don't know how you can say every forum your a member of you get the comment "it's a janty forum".
I might be wrong but i didn't think smokey joe has ever worked for/with janty in design and devolpment of new products like the owners of the other forum has, i could be wrong tho..smokey joe Janty M.D. perhaps ?

I personally think you do a great job here on the forums with Q&A's etc and i don't think you should retract your valuable input into this forum. The point i was trying to get across is not many users realise the intimate working relationship janty has with the owners of the other forum and I feel that due to Knutselpeters employment history with Janty that his forum will reflect that relationship in how the forum is run.
Take the pics you posted on that forum of the new 2009 model for instance, why the legal cr*p about not linking or re-posting those pics ? you only posted on that small forum because it was a carrot to get more users registered with that forum. With only 90 members ( most of which refered only because of the coupon code) posting them there was certainly not to gauge interest in it.

I have no problem with Janty's product or service , i've made purchases from you, but what i find unsettling is alot of new users won't know the close affiliation of janty as a company and the forum owners and take that on-board when they read product reviews or customer service reviews from that forum.

How do you think I feel Trog, this is really getting out of hand here, not worth it... rigth now there's a minicig supplier bashing us in another thread...
pfff
I reported both them posts to mods because it was unethical to do that. I wanna let you know i reported them because i haven't got some kind of vendetta against janty it's just the way janty are going about trying to get members to sign up for the other forum.

there, I've said my piece and voiced my opinions..not another word i shall say on the matter.

FYI, Janty has sponsored this forum!
We also sponsor the other forums!
We also sponsor the e-cigtest forum because it is different from other forums, it is unique, it is a development forum and I am eager to see what members come up with. You know that they are actually planning on developing e-cigs made by members, and for what I know, they will present these choosen member projects to different manufacturers. Now that thrills me!

Yes KP has worked and will continue to work with Janty for new products, but he is also available for other brands, after all he is freelancing. The e-cigtest forum is totally independent, Kp is not doing any Janty reviews of course, there are other reviewers and some I even don't know. Don't even think one second Janty will be spared from negative reviews, if it is bad it is bad and if it is good they will say so, I have no control over these things.

Every forum has its own value. Janty participates on so many forums... they all have their own "vibe". This forum for example is driven by a few valuable people, without whom I would have left long time ago already. It is always the goodhearted that start something, it is always the bad hearted that come and trash. It is up to you guys to decide what you will do to get this forum back on its original track. Any forum is lead not by its mods or admins but by its members! A good forum is not accounted by the size of its members but by the quality of its posts...

When Janty posts its latest models on a forum, it is because our lawyer reads the forum rules and then lets us post or not. we are a legal business and we have a philosophy. I'm sorry to see that lately too much has happened, too much bashing, too mush fake, too much anonymous surfers, too much stuff I refuse to put time in to defend ourselves over and over again. I'm really fed up and I want to concentrate on development, because that's what we do, that is what keeps us excited. Someone here wrote I should not care about what people write and just keep focussing on development, ... he is right!

goodnight!

double edged swords.. and as the users get more knowledgeable and able to see thru sales hype open participation in a forum get more dangerous..

the other good old english saying is "familiarity breeds contempt".. all it needs is a couple of clever trolls and u have major problems..

the safe bet is just to float around leaving your signature promotion link making a few happy comments.. something i should start doing..

If it is so "cheap", then make it affordable, say $35. A kit that comes with 1 battery and 1 atomizer for $70 is NOT my idea of cheap. Besides, what kind of supplier/manufacturer, whatever calls their own product cheap? I want one of these, the last thing I want is the seller calling it cheap and still selling it for $70 for a bare bones kit. Bah. I'll wait until I can get it for less.
