all these legal threats do seem a wee bit over the top.. its a small neat e smoking box powered by an off the shelf battery.. i like the slide in slide out atomizer and no doubt the manual switch.. its bound to work okay..

KP and Arent Jack both worked on the Stick and other new models for 2009, KP worked on the KBC and KBY series as well. We don't "take" from people, we work together, we respect each other. KP and I have been working together for over a year and he's been in our factory 3 times to work on projects. You can see KP in our Corporate film working on the KB in the factory.
Sometimes I don't know about Janty. I've remained objective about it, but all this garbage about patents and money mongering has made me stay clear from Janty's products. If there are patents, why the hell can't they simply clarify what they're selling and not be all secret and hush hush about it.
You think patents are garbage? wow, tx! Ask jarvis or the forum responsibles about our patents, they saw them and they are the only ones that will get to see them, sorry.
I never said patents are garbage, but the money mongering gets a bit ridiculous. No matter how many companies copy your product, whether your like it or not, your product should come out on top if it's the best in quality. No amount of lawyers will change that.

Thanks for clearing that Knupselpeter is affiliated with Janty. That comment you have made has just blown out of the water the theory that Knupselpeter's forum ( e-cigtest.com) is going to be at all unbiased when janty have vested interest in the forum owner's and vise versa.
Seems then that e-cigtest.com is just a JANTY forum in all but name...shame

I think you're missing the point, Ludo. Development can be done without patents, and you have no control over that. My point is, patents don't mean jack if your products are up to quality. For those that try and copy your stuff, competitors copies won't hold a candle to your product if yours is supposedly better in quality since others won't be able to obtain the same high quality materials/technology/standards. The patent just means you own the rights to the model, not the materials or quality in which you make them.

In reading that, my impression is that they don't want people linking to their images, rather than their product page. The motivation for this is usually just avoiding bandwidth charges since a linked image displayed on another site (or this forum) will still be sent from their servers. Their explanation is nonsense though -- is it a trademark violation or a copyright infringement? (Um, neither, as point of fact. And piracy? Come on.) A bit of legal history on the matter can be found at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlink#Legal_issues (sorry, I'm not allowed to post URLs yet!).
In short, I don't think they have a legal leg to stand on. Not cool, though.
The way things are going I reckon we'll be seeing e-cig versions of this in the not too distant future

i did notice a certain bias in the forum.. a waste of time us trying to get listed as a supplier as well i think.. perhaps we are that small fry the people that run it havnt heard us.. everyone else seems to be listed..
