JANTY does not sell e-cigarettes. We do not sell quit smoking devices also wrongly referred to as electronic cigarettes. We do however sell Portable Smoke Machines, which come in different detached pieces, also referred to as JANTY KISSBOX.

Once assembled, these pieces can look like a pen (or other various shapes we are working on). This pen or other wise shaped device can be used to produce party smoke (PG). Party smoke is used at venues such as rock concerts or events, products launches, bars, disco's, fashion shows...

Our little personal smoke machines can produce various flavors of smoke such as apple, RY4, vanilla, mint and yes even tobacco, by using JANTY cartridges with our without nicotine content.

We are working on a new development for you to be able to produce even more PG smoke than in previous versions. Producing party smoke is fun, on your own or in a group! So if anyone asks "hey what's that thing, it looks like one of those e-cig things? You can answer "Nope, this a personal portable smoke machine, wanna see some really dense PG smoke?"

Thank you for your kind attention.

That is hilarious! You can call it the Winky-Dink if you like, but the world already calls it e-smoking e-cigarettes. Your new nomenclature won't change that. And, yes, I know E-Cig beat you to the wording the world uses.

Bet this is also an attempt to evade various legal definitions that will be used in banning these in some countries. Ruyan can argue they don't make banned "electronic cigarettes." They sell portable smoking machines. It won't work, Ruyan.

Okay, children. Have you learned your lesson now? Say it together: You can enjoy a PG portable smoke machine whose sole purpose is to provide you enjoyment in a party setting. Surely NO ONE could find that objectionable?

What a post! Reminds me of Big Tobacco's warnings, issued solely so they can tell juries "We told 'em not to smoke. They wouldn't listen and now they want to sue us!"

As I thought more on this, I got angry. What a fraud you turn out to be. Just imagine that grown people probably got bonuses for coming up with that crap statement. You better get ready to change a LOT. For instance, go to Untitled Document, where you'll find you have paid, and continue to pay, big bucks to have New Zealand's Dr. Murray Laugesen study "Ruyan e-cigarettes." Let's rewrite all those papers right away, so he studies "portable smoking devices" for recreational use of an addictive drug.

No kudos from this corner, Ruyan, for the end-around you're trying on the trouble befalling e-smoking.

Did Italy want this statement?

i think he was kidding...well i hope he was, because if thats our only defence, then we are royally screwed!

as for these new devices that produce more vapour...well they need to be a hell of a lot better than the kissbox mate.
that wasnt the revolution that you made it out to be,no matter what anyone says.

in my opinion, kissbox vapour is nothing special dude...consistency is too light.i get more vapour from my cheap ecigs, and the draw is far too light to be satisfying-its like smoking air...never mind the half-assed way you launched it,and the exorbitant price of the thing.

why dont you and companies like you actually make something that is truly revolutionary, instead of variations on a theme?we are all getting a bit tired of the same old design rehashed with very minor alterations, and little or no meaningful innovation...

work on those points, because if the next product you bring out to a great fanfare is as disappointing, then your reputation is going to be in tatters mate.

Wow - Ludo really stirred things up around here didn't he? I believe he was joking.

leaford,

When Ludo first registered here he was ruyanexpress.com and Ludo was selling Ruyan products but now has changed to Jantyshop.com.
So, he was a distributer, and struck off on his own. Good for him. :thumb:

It is an issue though. Why in the first place is it called an e-cigarette? And why are especially the mini models so attractive to smokers who want to try the e-cig for the first time (and then soon find out that the pen model, cigar or pipe even produces more smoke/satisfaction because of a bigger atomizer, bigger battery, bigger cartridges).

In singapore for example, the e-cigarette is banned in the first place because it looks too much like a real cigarette and since the idea of worldwide governments is to eradicate cigarettes completely over the next 20 years or so, we cannot have kids looking at grown ups puffing away something that looks like that awful cigarette from the past.

The whole discussion about the e-cig started off on a wrong foot, because someone called it a quit smoking device. Now everybody sees it as a quit smoking device and therefore we will run into trouble, because it is very easy to call for a ban, have 5 years of medical tests etc... by that time you'll be smoking normal killer cigarettes again.

For us it is an alternative to the normal cigarette and for us it should be called vaporizing, but unfortunately vaporizing doesn't sound as sexy as "smoking" because of the historical background (films, heroes, rock stars,...).

And what is vaporizing else then PG and added flavor and nicotine (or no nicotine). The smoke (vapor) from smoking machines at concerts, or in disco's is basically what you inhale from the e-cig.

And since this PG smoke is legal (at least in Europe), one can build on that and state that if that is legal, then e-smoking or vaporizing through a device that looks like a pen or some other shape should be legal to (at least without nicotine).

And that brings me to the initial post., which was meant to set of this discussion in the thread of law and e-cigarettes.
