Very frustrating. I don't have time to play ring-a-round the postal system.
At this point I'd rather just cancel but I can't any real response from this guy. 2 days and all he has time for is a form letter? Can't be bothered with the 10 seconds it takes to read the message? I don't understand the point in this whole exchange anyway. Does ANYONE want the faulty batteries??? It would make more sense, to me anyway, if we we're asked to contact him if we DIDN"T want the free upgrade.
It should be an automatic upgrade!!!!

I Emailed Jeff Yesterday About Upgrading My Junk Dura's To The Dura-C's When They Come In And He Responded Back With A Yes Will Replace Them as Soon As They Come In. with a Thanks for Your Patients within an Hour I Emailed Him During The Day. This was in the Subject and (1) Line in The Body of the Email. I will sat thats a Plenty Good Response For Me..

Don't forget Jeff & JantyUSA is probably Flooded with emails / support as well as the new shipments / distribution. So he is probably doing the best he can do. And He is Well Aware of Whats Going On!

Anyways Jeff @ JantyUSA Has Provided Me with Outstanding Customer Service!! And Thats Why I Will Wait.

FYI: JantyUSA is in Texas on Central Time Zone Texas Time Zone

and Probably closes at 4 or 5:00 PM Mon- Fri I Guess...

My Tip To You: So I would make my email short, to the point & include your order #'s as well in the subject line. Anything more will probably cause a delay.

Just My Thoughts, I have No Affiliation with Jeff or Janty.

Still Duraless

See the worst part is, i had a great experience with Jeff @ Jantyusa when i bought my yentl, but i don't want to have to have a great customer service experience every week. I want an e-cig that works with maybe 1 or 2 returns at the most.
I would really like it if Ludo would answer my question on the last page.
I really want to buy janty products, but i vote with my dollars, and i can't vote for a company that doesn't judiciously test their products before releasing them to the general public, or sells hardware they know for a fact does not work.
That's not what e-smokers need and that's not a successful business model, either.

Hey, i clicked on this thread randomly and i figured i'd fire a question off and see if it gets answered.

Ludo, if it's not too top secret, do you guys have a research team that actually smokes and uses the devices before you start selling them, or do you just design them, get them manufactured, and start selling them immediately?

The thing is, i like your products, i actually have a yentl i really love the way it smokes, it's just not dependable. I have to own 2 or 3 other e-cigs by other companies in order to have a dependable setup, and at that point why buy the Janty in the first place?
It's the same with the Dura, i feel like i could really enjoy it if people didn't report 2 and 3 batteries going dead before getting a good one.

It seems like if you guys at janty just spent 3 weeks to 2 months testing the product with 20-30 people, you'd be able to work out a lot of the reliability issues you are having, and make a really great product and tons of cash.
I bet some of the forum members here would gladly test your products for free.

I would buy more janty products if i didn't always read about them breaking down and needing to be returned. That's such a drag when it happens, you know? It's the worst thing about e-smoking for sure.
Janty customers are the testing. You just have to pay for the privalige ;)

I emailed Jeff yesterday asking to replace the batteries in my pre-order with the free Dura C replacements. This was his response:

"I apologize for the shipping delay with your order."

Not cool.

I can sure understand your frustration! I got the same response from Jeff that others had posted (form letter) with the option to ship the kit w/old style batteries, then have them replaced with the new Dura-C's when they come in, and ship back the old batteries to him. Or... to just wait for the new batteries to come, and ship the kit then (which I decided on rather than shipping the old batteries back.)

I'm guessing that Jeff must be very overwhelmed by this situation? I've heard many good things about his service (I've never ordered from him before.) But didn't get a very quick response myself when others were saying they were getting them in a very short period of time.

I do think it would have been easier for (Jeff & all of us) to have send an email out to ALL with Dura pre-orders to let them know the current situation, with the offer to upgrade to the new batteries unless we requested differently?

I sent two e-mails about my pre-order set, one four days ago and one yesterday, and received no response from Jeff. Today my order shipped, so I guess I'll be doing an exchange. If the auto-switch wasn't so flaky it wouldn't be a big deal, but when I'm out and about and get a craving, it's a real pain when it doesn't want to work.

I know guys/gals, This really is a huge pain. Keep in mind the whole lot of us + others that aren't on this forum is probably filling his inbox every 30 seconds.

Thanks for the reply Jeff, I was reading some threads and started to panic a bit.
Is this true??

The last post (at this time) made by Ludo (with Janty) was this:

We are sorry to announce that we have decided to retract the normal DURA auto batteries until further notice because of the too high failure percentage. We are working with JOYE to help them improve these batts.

Those who ordered a pre-sale normal "auto batteries" DURA set can mail Jeff for the US, at jeff@jantyusa.comor Harry at dispatch@jantyshop.com for Europe, mentioning their order number and ask for a free DURA-C batteries replacement.

Thanks again,

We'll be shipping out the regular Dura pre-order models this evening. In regards to changing or swapping out the regular batteries there are a couple of options to do this.

1. If you would like to replace your batteries for the Dura-C model you may contact us next week and we'll be happy to accommodate this request. We would ask for you to return the regular Dura batteries to us by mail after you receive the replacement Dura-C batteries.

2. If you would prefer to wait until next week for us to ship the complete Dura-C kit please respond to this email and let us know.

Thanks again for your business,

Jeff

Hey Jeff, I hope you get this before you ship! We don't mind waiting another week for the Dura-C sets. Rather save on shipping and increase the odds on a better/working product. I can only imagine, just how many e-mails your ripping through. I really appreciate your hard work man.
Thank you

Not a problem Iken. We'll get the C out to you ASAP!

Thanks,
Jeff

So I got the tracking number today, with the standards obviously. Just have patience everyone, One man can only do so much. I mean, I'm dying here, with 3 of 4 batts dead and 2 of 3 atomizers dead, and Usb passthrough now dead. Im on the brink of insanity and hoping to god that these Dura's WORK!! We just gotta keep it together a little ;)

Well, Jeff must be busy as he hasn't been the quickest to reply(he usually is). But he emailed me today and said my dura and KB has been mailed. I am excited to try these too. I must say I am really excited about the manual switch ones. I love the whole manual switch on the penstyle. I love the size of Dura/901. So having a dura with switch might be my all time favorite yet. Can't wait to try it.

H Lu, I think jeff is catching up on it, so all should be ok within the next few days... this last month was crazy as you can imagine...

Harry in Europe is celebrating Carnaval till Wednesday (he plays in a carnaval band)... he will be back to normal from Thursday onwards.

We can announce that the new DURA-C batteries will probably be available beginning next week. FYI: The manual switch design batteries is a JANTY patented design (patent number 001025779-0001) based on the JANTY YENTL KISSBOX.

Thanks for checkin' in Ludo!

So when you say next week, do you mean as in this week coming, or the next week? I really don't ask for myself but I know others will want to know what to expect....just so there's no confusion. If it's unlcear, people will be saying "well I thought it was going out this week"....then things get fired up again...lol
