JC Sample Pack/Flavor review.

Well I'm going by the starter kit I ordered and waited around 2 weeks for. This isn't a deeply in depth review because I'm not good at that sort of thing and I only tried 1 drop of each at a time just to see how it tasted.

The bottles from the starter kit I will use again for when I leave the house to carry small amounts of juice with me instead of a whole 30ml or whatever. And came in a tupperware container which will also be useful for me to store random stuff on my computer desk in. It came with a syringe (stupid me poked my finger to see if the syringe is sharp instead of just going by the way it looked), tweezers (sharp tips), plastic seethrough carrying case, and a tiny little plastic bottle and a funnel to put liquids in so you don't have to carry a lot with you, and little droppers for each of the 10 bottles of liquid. Came with one of those rubber bracelets advertising JohnsonCreek (bracelets look like those cancer awareness bracelets), which I'll never use, no need to but still nice of them either way.

Anyway onto the little review of each flavor:

Peach Cobbler - Delicious peach flavor, really tasted the peach, have no idea what a peach cobbler tastes like, but I definitely tasted the peach when I puffed on it and it was very soothing. Would order a big bottle.

Vanilla Ice Cream - I don't taste why they threw in the ice cream part but it's very vanilla-y and tastes pretty good, don't know if I could vape it alone all the time but very delicious as a treat or mixed with my Camel juice from e-smokeytreats. Would order a big bottle.

Sweet Strawberry - Tasted a bit of strawberry but not much sweetness in the mix. Not a huge fan of it but it is still pretty good

Hawaiian Kona Coffee - The taste immediately reminded me of the way a coffee shop smells when you first walk in. Or like a coffee bean smells. I read a post where someone said it tasted like skunk, must have been a bad batch because there is a definate coffee shop/bean taste. Pretty good flavor would order a big bottle.

Mint Chocolate Madness - Tasted the mint right away as it hit my tongue. On the exhale got a bit of a chocolate taste. Reminded me of a mint chocolate chip flavored ice cream, or an andy's mint. My girlfriend said she didn't taste the mint at all but it hit me as soon as I started to take my first drag. I wouldn't call it a menthol flavor (don't know if anyone has, just saying I wouldn't). Probably the only flavor with a throat hit, but it's very mild throat hit, and biggest amount of vapor I've produced with any of the JC juices. Would buy a big bottle.

Chocolate Almond Decadence - Not really sure how I would describe this. Very subtle chocolate and almond flavors. Not a huge flavor of almonds but it wasn't horrible, just not a very strong flavor.

Original tobacco - Smooth vape with a sublte tobacco flavor, not an analog tobacco flavor but better tasting

Tennessee Cured - A really good tasting tobacco flavor, if you're reading this chances are you've read other posts stating how this one tastes. Very smoothe and creamy. Would order a big bottle of this.

Arctic Mint - A nice minty flavor, more of a menthol feel in the mouth but also very minty, resembles the Mint Chocolate Madness without the Mad Chocolate :) flavor. Would order a big bottle of this.

Wild Cherry - BLAAAHHHHKKKKK horrible, must have been a bad batch of it or something just wasn't right, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, although I'll never know because I would never personally order a cherry flavor. I didn't taste cherry in there at all, it might have been hidden somewhere beneath the rubber, plastic, chemical, soap, horrible horrible taste that I couldn't get out of my mouth for about an hour after. Heard it resembled a Cherry Lifesavor, if only that was the case. This flavor was the worse by far and my girlfriend that likes cherries and cherry flavored stuff did not think it had a cherry flavor either. Needed a second opinion on it and was sorry to torment her with the lingering after taste of this horrible mixture. If by WILD Cherry they ment wild as in tasted like a wild animals stool then they got it closer than I would have ever liked to have known.

All flavors tested on a clean atty, and an cart without the batting. Dripped 1-2 drops of the liquid on the bridge of the atty and then vaped them. Used a fresh battery although it died by the end of the testing process (no thats not the reason for the bad Cherry review, I tried it with a fresh battery to and it was just as bad). Used the Yeti/510 with Manual battery.

None of the flavors produced an overwhelming amount of vapor, maybe it was my dripping without the poly batting and none of them really gave me much of a throat hit either.

Hopefully this review is helpful to everyone that reads it

No, nothing is as bad as Wild Cherry. I can taste the cherry, mind, but in the same way as I can taste it in cherry NyQuil.

And that is the only bad thing I've ever had to say about a JC flavor.

I've pretty much settled into Kona and Arctic Mint now. Bonus because they taste good together, so no need to clean out my atty to switch flavors.

However, I'd agree with just about all you assessments. :)

I don't know if I just got a bad batch or what. But I've been pretty unimpressed with most of the Johnson Creek flavors. Most are ok if a little week flaor wise. The original tobacco was awful!! I really tried to like it. vaped on it for a few days and finally had to throw it away. rancid tasting. the others werent bad just weak. the tobacco flavored was absolutely horrible. havent tried tennesee cured yet tho.

Hehe - I'm puffing on Wild Cherry 24 mg right now. I love it. The taste is not so much in the inhalation, it's the aromatic portion in the exhale that I think kicks. This I will reorder.

I really didn't like the Kona at all. In fact, the Vanilla Ice Cream is the only other I would consider. The peach cobbler did not taste anything like a cobbler to me - it reminded of that "peacharine" artificial flavoring in hard candy - and I never was a fan of that. I didn't much care for any of the chocolate variations, either.

Thank you for the review! It's going to be interesting to watch other samplers chime in.

Jeez. So that's what it is. I thought it was a rubber band for organizing all the tiny bottles. No wonder they didn't fit in it.

I am just finishing up testing all of my JC samples as well. I found that for the most part all of the JC flavors had a "hint" of what the flavor was supposed to be, but I would prefer them to be A LOT stronger with flavor, and they all lacked vapor as well.
This isn't to say that the flavor was bad, I think all of the flavors they offer are really good, I just think that I would prefer them to have more of it. And the vapor production wasn't horrible, it was just average, or slightly below.
I would definitely buy from JC again, the best smoke I have had to date would have to be the Tennessee Cured mixed with some of the Artic Mint....very good.

I also really like the "starter kit" they send everything it. It was packaged really well and will come in handy to store my liquids and supplies around the house.

The starter kit gets 4/5 stars from me, and I would recommend this to anybody looking to get a good variety starter kit.

-edit- I was vaping with a Janty Dura-c 510, I think it helps when people refer to which stick they use when trying out different liquids.

got my kit the other day too. i've only tried two flavors so far. first, i tried the much touted tennessee cured, and i hated it. to me, it kind of tasted the way old people smell.

then i tried peach cobbler, and while it was better than tc, i still wasn't impressed. it has the same underlying ... taste as tc, with a slight hint of a peachish flavor. it's tolerable, but not great.

i'm almost apprehensive about trying the other flavors now, especially if they all have that same base flavor.

another thing i noticed is these liquids seem thicker than the other liquids i've tried. when i transitioned from tc to pc, i didn't clean out the atomizer because usually the old flavor only sticks around for a few drags and then it's gone. not tc... i had to clean the atomizer to get rid of it. it just lingered.

also, these seem pretty harsh on the throat (not referring to throat hit). i got the vg kind which is supposed to be less harsh, but it's worse than the pg liquid i got from janty.

i'll comment if i find a jc liquid i like.

I appreciate the review of the juices, but mostly, I enjoyed your sense of humor. You painted quite a picture, and I knew immediately the smell you meant. It was like time-traveling to my friend's grandma's house (my grandma never smelled like that) and the odor that would stay in your sinuses for days.

Thanks for the laugh and the warning.

While overall I am really glad ordered the kit and would recommend it to others, I do have 2 complaints about JC...well...3 complaints...

1...Shipping time was INSANELY long. I know, I know...its popular and they hand-make the juices...but still...I would think that they would be a little more on the ball since their sample pack has gotten such a huge response.

2...CHERRY IS NASTY!!!! *enough said*

3...When I took apart their blank carts to mod them I noticed that there was some type of adhesive on the poly making it stick to the side of the cart !?!?!?! Now that just CANT be good to inhale. Needless to say I have thrown out the spare carts I PAID for...complete bummer.

That being said, I have been enjoying the flavors that came in my sample pack. I have mixed the Strawberry with champagne and it is super yummy. I have been using the tobacco flavors as a base which I thin out with VG so as not to waste them. I have found that using them this way with my DIY flavoring method really thins out their taste while still giving me the Nic I so enjoy. Ive been getting adequate Vape from them as well (using a 401). They are also lasting a decent amount of time when I just drip them on my attys and Im not finding any gunk on my attys either.

Overall I would highly recommend this kit to all the newbies out there. Gives you ennough variety to play with and all the tols you need as well. All in all I will definately be ordering from JC again...just not when Im in a rush for my juices! :D

it's just my opinion though... lots of people love it.

Yes the shipping time for the kit took about 2 weeks for me to get, and I was getting very impatient I was checking the mail at 11pm before going to bed in hopes that I just didn't see it earlier, and mail comes before I get home from work my girlfriend was checking it at her normal time and I was checking it when I got home (mail is never consistent so we have to look twice every day).
The carts that came with the kit were completely useless to me, but I have taken the batting out and cut off the adhesive part and used them to re stuff the 510 carts I have so it was very useful in that aspect.
And yes cherry reminded me more of at rubber tire smoldering on a camp fire and inhaling the smoke than it reminded me of cherry.

From what I hear the new kit isn't the same as this one I've explained either, doesn't come with the Tupperware container I got with mine. Still contains all the same flavors from what I've heard to.

LMAO..OMG I LOVE that stupid Tupperware container!!! I am leaving for a cross country road trip and it is SO perfect for carrying all my DIY stuff in one place! I would be so bummed if i hadnt gotten it now that i DO have it! Yeah..I dumped that cherry SO fast I left burn out marks on the kitchen floor! 8-o But at least that left me with an empty bottle for my own creations ;). I am thoroughly enjoying the arctic mint and I think the chocolate varieties that came in my kit will be perfect wwith just a small amount of doctoring with some lorAnns.

and BTW...I was TOTALLY staking ut my mailbox waiting for this stuff too! *grins* Patience is NOT one of my Many MANY virtues!

i'm vaping the arctic mint now. i can barely taste a difference between this and peach cobbler. there is no minty flavor at all. it's nothing like the janty mint flavor i had before (and grew to love). all these liquids taste and smell the same.

and why the hell is there a syringe with a needle in this kit? am i supposed to inject this stuff???

i feel like i'm taking crazy pills.

sorry to hear your arctic mint is no good, the more I smoke mine the harder it is for me to tell the difference between it and mint chocolate madness, maybe mcm is a bit chocolaty in comparison
The syringe and needle is to inject the e-liquid into the cart filler instead of just dripping it into it, helps fill more towards the bottom of the cart. I used it once just to try it and I'm not gonna use it anymore, it doesn't work that good.
