JC's Sample Pack

But the disapointment is that none of them seem to give any kind of throat kick!

I dunno...I got some good kicks from the Chocolate and the vanilla! They weren't as pronounced as the Smartfixx high-nic carts perhaps, but now I know that Johnsons is all-natural, and those prefilled carts have a couple more chems in them than originally thought.

Anarch- just got some Tenessee and Wild Cherry- and just gotta state that the cherry is the strongest Cherry that I have tried to date. Very pleasing taste. The Tenessee is a bit understated I think- although I've got a stomach bug that is messign up my taste, so I'll have to wait on commenting on the Tenessee taste- but the cherry taste is coming through very nicely, and yep- it do taste like red-ripe bing cherries and I can see myself gourging on a big bowl of them after smoking this stuff lol.

Just tried some more Tennessee, and although my tastebuds are reelign fro mthe bug, I'm pretty sure I'm gettign hints of Caramell flavor coming htrough- The nic kick seems a bit stronger than the original tobacco flavor from JC, but this might be due to the woodsy-like flavor I seem to be gettign in addition to the caramell flavor- I say 'woodsey-like' becasue I'm not quite sure how to describe the flavor- perhaps it's liek a bold, yet smooth flavor remiscent of raw tobacco like the 'all-natural' tobaccos that aren't 'contaminated' by all the extras that are injected in conventional tobaccos like Marlboros

Just received my second order of JC juice. Ahhhh. Good stuff. Can take a huge drag without choking. For those that want a bit of kick, just add some of Jane's juice to the mix. Jane's juice tends to make me choke it has such a kick. JC juice is so smooth I can take a huge lungfull without choking. They are now filtering all their juice and their website indicates that childproof caps will be available next month.

Kate, I apologize--I just saw your question. Forgive me for sounding like I knew something, I don't (the ingredients in Johnsons vs the prefilled); I was just going by what I read on these boards, the various chems added to the prefills and MacFan's early posts about his juice, which I thought he had stated was all-natural...

All I know is, I've used the carts from the different suppliers and Johnsons Juice; the high-nic carts from Smartfixx sometimes irritated my throat, always wondered if they had an abundance of propylene, or was that the nicotine. I never got a throat irritation from Johnsons. The 'throat-kick' might not always be as pronounced as the carts, but I still enjoyed the mellow vapor.

I feel like Johnsons has been getting crucified on this board lately; I understand people wanting a quality product, as do I...but it seemed to me that Johnsons was going out of their way here to cater to the various tastes & requests as best they could, and I hope all this criticism doesn't wreck their business before it gets fully off the ground...

Hey Apache - I'm totally behind Mac (and Smokester here in the UK), and can't wait to get my sample packs. However thorough Mac's testing was before going to market, it was never going to cover all the things that come out when it hits the wider user base. I don't consider the criticisms of the juice a wholly bad thing - it lets Mac know where things can be improved (and he has responded well to the filtration issues). Also it should be considered that not everybody is well-versed in these devices. I've gummed up an atomiser or two myself, but the liquid is as much part of the tech as the hardware and I'm an early adopter of both. It's going to take a while to iron out completely and I'm just glad it's available. Frankly we were clamouring for this and I still am. The benefits far outweigh the teething problems.

I'da bought it even if he was straining it through his sock...

I know what you mean about JC having a hard time at the moment on the boards. It makes me cringe a bit when I read of people having health or technical problems with any components of our new found pastime. However, products may be promoted on this forum and the suppliers may make money out of us in a legitimate way but they also have a duty of care and a responsibility to supply goods fit for purpose.

We are early adopters of this technology and as such we make a conscious (sometimes not very informed) decision to risk mostly untested and unproven products. That is our choice and we each make our choices with our money. We have a duty towards each other, as members of a specialist community to share information on personal experiences relevant to the products we buy. Without meaning to be over dramatic I do believe that it could even be a matter of life and death. Suppliers should be interested in and react to our feedback. They should constantly be investing some of the money we give them to research and develop their offerings. If they have any sense they will also give us as much formal research and composition data as possible to help us to help them evolve. There are many intelligent consumers here who come up with remarkable quantities of useful information and advice. Reputation for suppliers depends on long term care for customers and putting problems right, not avoiding and denying.

I wish MacFan all the best of luck and hope he can rise above what seem to me to be short term setbacks. There is a lot of goodwill on this forum for him and that should carry him through hard times should he choose to step up to the plate.

I just baked some jc on tin foil in the oven at 180 degrees to see how much residue it left behind and was amazed, it leaves behind 5 times that of the other juices i have and is also very difficult to remove afterwards.

And i also dont want to see jc hung drawn and quartered but feel others should be warned before it causes any more problems.

Ted- to be a fair test, you need to put it over a lower heat, and keep letting it cool- our devices only just briefly heat to (I think it is 140 or so), and then it cools inbetween hits- As well- you are heating the liquid at a constant heat without breaks, asnd you're heating hte liquid that isn't atomized like our devices do, which also skews the results
