How is the brushed version from fasttech? Looks pretty damn nice. I like how the seam disappears. Also does anyone have the hcigar black copper stingray? Im wondering if the threads show in 18650 mode above the switch like the infinite one.

The pics i posted above are of the Fasttech brushed version. The switch will likely be crunchy initially but it breaks in and works well.

And no, there are no exposed threads in either flat-top or button-top (flats are better though).

Thanks but in terms of the threading showing I was wondering about the hcigar black copper stingray. I know the infinite black stingray 18650 tube is a little too short and was wondering if the hcigar version was the same.

For the brushed brass ray from ft- they list the pins as silver plated brass. The infinite and hcigar brass rays claim the pins are silver plated copper. Do you think this will make any difference in conductivity?

man i bet this isn't going to be popular. that said.... if you are a dedicated vaporist and know you are planning to remain the aforementioned, why fight clones? get you hands on a quality device and you won't be disappointed. i unfortunately spent roughly 2K on clones and other disposable vaping equipment before i gave up and bought quality gear from reputable vendors (mostly U.S. made) and learned to build and tweak (still learning everyday). the research and the time spent on getting what you want specifically is time well spent. try it you'll like it...

that felt good...my first ECF rant...think i'll have a quality vape now. Peace <*}}}>{

I do, and yes it does.

My Stingray is every bit as good as an authentic, bad thing is I am unsure of the manufacturer.

The button is smooth with about 1.1 mm of throw, the threads are all butter, the tubes are almost seamless and it fires hard...every time.

I paid $22 shipped with drip tip (not fasttech).

I'm not against authentic gear, my preferred topper is an authentic Atomic RDA which is also flawless in every way...it was four times more expensive as the Stingray and worth every dime.

JD Tech can set any price they wish for the Stingray, had it been in the $100 range I would have purchased an authentic...this is what I believe it to be worth.

I do feel most people expect too much from cloned gear. If you paid $70 for an Infinite clone with crunchy switch it is what it is and the vendor you purchased it from overcharged you....just like authentic mod makers do. I got lucky with my clone, if it had issues I would have been disappointed but this is the risk we take to disagree with authentic prices.

I was supplied a new longer short tube for my Infinite black copper Stingray at no charge from the Ebay seller that I got it from. Infinite was to supply all vendors, group buys, runners ,ect. with the tubes.

Which supplier was that, if I may ask? I still need to contact mine.

Well I'm glad CodeVape did right by you, as that's where I pre-ordered my Copper/Red Stingray. Still waiting on it.
For sure a good seller.
The black copper Stingray clone that they sell now has the longer tube, from the same manufacturer as makes the Infinite one but not Infinite and a little cheaper in price. (Identical to Infinite)

The Copper/Red is not cheaper, but then it's brand new. There was a delay in production and they were saying it was to fix some issues that they had with the Black/Copper. They sent a few out and will be getting more each day. I'm number 171, so it might still be a bit. Last I looked they have sold 222 units. Thanks for the reassurance.

I'm really happy to see at least one clone manufacturer being at least semi-professional about their business practices. They learned that they made the base tube too short from the black ones that they made and are fixing the issue before they release any of the plain copper ones.

From my examination of the situation the base tube was the correct length for an 18500 battery so it seemed to me that just the extention tube was the too short one.

So I've been reading a lot about people being disappointed in the switch. I really wanted to go for the brass infinite stingray but am nervous ill get stuck with a bad switch lol. Do you guys think I'd be better off with a copper or brass hcigar nemesis?

Ymmv. My first stingray had cracked magnets out of the box. My second is crunchy, however a very nice isopropyl bath and qtip cleaning should do the trick. It breaks in within a week and mine is currently rather touch sensitive. You can always get higher quality magnets as well.

I was looking at your blog and just wanted to point out an error, the VTR is chrome plated brass not stainless steel.

Nice MBV reviews, I love Freckled Lemonade as well.
