I have been through a bunch of tanks, and I always seem to go back to the mini nova. I have 3 or 4 kangers, but don't like the "airey" draw. Feel like i'm sucking more air than vapor. I started with the dct tanks. They are great if you can get the carts with the big square hole. That cuts out the priming issue, and you can get a great hit on a normal/small battery. They are still messy to deal with, filling and such. Currently I leave the house in the morning with 5 batteries. At the current time they all have mini novas on them and I'm happy with them.

Thank you everyone for all the words of advice... All have been noted.

I'm using the ego twist by the way, I know one of you asked that
In terms of rebuilding, re wicking I was hoping to avoid all that but might have to try eventually lol

I'm about to nip into town, think I'm going to pick up a vivi nova and give it a go,
Might grab more while I'm there so I have something else to try too

Watch this space lol

Hi BAH.

I am getting rid of my entire collection of vivi novas. Some are getting sent to newbie vapers (at my expense) and others are just sitting around to be handed out at vape meets. I gave away all my full sized novas and the 3 x "cloned" novas, which were disappointing.

The only nova I would recommend is a Vision branded nova, mine were from jason @ vapeescape.

Do I think you should get one? NO.
What would I choose instead? Mini or "big" Protank.

Can I explain why people choose novas over some of the others? Possibly....they are a good clearo, they are more reliable than CE clearos and less gurgly than evods etc. You can change (rebuild) the heads easier than a BCC and I can swear 100% I never had one leak in a year of using a team of 4-6 at any one time (4-6 flavours).

For under a £10'er, it's always worth buying one. Have they "aged well" compared to the latest developments in clearos? - I would say no.

Personal choice, as ever.

What don't you like about it?

Everything lol

To be fair, I'm 99% sure it's a clone, a very poor one at that. It's like sucking a golf ball though a hose
Low vapour and zero flavour. But even if it was official it's an awful ugly tank

In guessing the genuine ones work better be I'm put off now

is there any chance you can post a few pics of this tank your trying to replace?

very few smaller shops actually produce their own devices even less with something like a clearomizer. it is not uncommon for a vendor to have a product reboxed/relabeled as their own for their stores.

I can when incandescent get my camera to focus correctly because the differences are very minor and difficult to see

What in going to do is try remove a coil on my Kanger T3s but I need some new heads first, kat time I tried that it made it leak?

And I'm waiting on my new pro tank mini 2 coming from vapeescape

Speaking of vapeescape, I also ordered a new joytech ego twist too but it says on the joytech website that vapeescape are selling clones

Anyone know if this is true? I want be happy if that's the case because I'd clearly stated joytech

Hi all, I'm new to the forum

Been vaping about 8 months now and loved it until my local shop decided they were no longer going to stock
my favourite tank.

What was your "favourite" called? Top coil? removable MP? capacity? Ego threaded? Color?
I think we are ALL out of guesses, time to reveal the secret you have been keeping for the last 30 odd posts...

Thanks
I

Shall I find out for you?

let me say this...

Joyetech are very, very protective of their market. They enjoy an interesting position where they sell officially through "authorised" retailers.

What this mean is, for example.

An eVic kit from Joyetech £99.99
An eVic kit from Totally Wicked £99.99

An eVic kit from an unauthorised retailler. £59.99. :(

If you buy from one of the best in the business (vape escape, for example), if it says it's Joyetech, it will be Joyetech.

Anyone saying otherwise is trying to protect the price of the brand.

Innokin say all innokin products on fasttech are clones. We know different.

thats what im thinking - the old ce4's mostly reliable and worked pretty well. if it is in fact the ce4 or a variation they are readily available and cheap.

any chance it looked like this? maybe a different color?

Ce4-clearomizer-Architecture1.jpg

this is the newer short wick version the originals have two wicks, one on each side of the head, that hang down into the tank. many places still sell these.

Very close actually, the only difference I can see is that the one I was using had 3 very small half square shape cuts in the bottom of the base

Well hopefully you are right, will soon find out when it comes tomorrow

Loads of people seem to have a lot of good things to say about vapeescape

The more I work through Kanger bottom coil, first the T3, then the adapter bases and coils to convert T3 to T3S, the more I realize that the old Stardusts I started with gave the best performance and flavor, and the coils did seem to last forever. I just don't love them because they don't travel well. The T3/T3S non-removable mouthpiece means my unit can tip sideways in my tote or roll across the floor without leaking or flooding, so the grab & go element is pretty irresistible.

My latest thing with the T3 to T3S adaptor system is that the coil unit becomes unscrewed from the base. What clues me in will be a leak. I switch clearos frequently because I like to switch flavors. When putting a new coil into a base, I screw it in as tight as finger tight can be. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. This week this one came loose, and gave me no problems last week, and vice versa.

Oy. Chasing the dragon.
