I'm not sure you really have a problem there. The 650 vs 680maH I sincerely doubt is an issue. I've seen both listed and doubt that that in and of itself is indicative of a knockoff. Could reflect when it was made, or a change in how they(Joye) themselves measured and rated their batteries from one time frame to another. If someone's going to make a knockoff they're not going to be tripped up by being scrupulously honest about their maH rating being lower than the genuine product. As far as the number of cones, I'm pretty sure I've seen them packaged both ways at various places, 1 cone or 2, so I don't think that's necessary telling either. Regarding the rubbererized vs. not, how did you determine that the one you ordered wasn't? I take it you haven't received it yet.

This is further to the point I tried to make earlier. I think Joye is doing their legit customers a disservice with the way they're handling this.

The battery info was meant to be tongue in cheekish, all batteries different than posted to varying degrees and I was splitting hairs at 30mAH. The whole post was meant to mock the potential outrage, really.
The combination of poor social talent, lack of sleep, and alcohol made its revenge in that post. Even the chart had horrible color choice.
If what I get isn't something that left joyetech's doors I'd be irked, but not fuming. If it works with the new super-grande carts and I can use it for more than 4 hours I'll be happy. Really happy.

I was serious about the community though, and for the most part its working. I haven't seen a vendor claim ecigs cure the common cold in months.

Early eGo devices were not rubberised I believe, could it be old stock? I wouldn't read too much in to the 30mAh difference, as IVapus has said.

The easiest way to tell earlier 510's apart (providing it didn't have the washer in the base) was to test the resistance as surprisingly they failed to clone that aspect. Past that, it was very hard, maybe the slight difference on the post insulator. If the resistance matched then you really WOULD struggle. Batteries were a little easier, slightly different texture on the tips and button. As a consumer you are relying on the company who sells you the good that are as described. If you buy direct from China then you forfeit that right, it shouldn't be the case though.

This isn't a new problem.

Joye eGo

Ego's now ship with 2 atomizers from Joye. I know this coz i just got one. Also...the case now has 2 slots for 2 complete eGo's. I can vouch that these are true.

As LibertyFlights put it: sometimes several versions of the same product (well...make that most of the time) will be in market due to stocks. Nothing that an email to Joyetech can't clear.

Sorry for being dense. I obviously completely misinterpreted your meaning.

Here you can order 5 to 10 Joye Ego kits for $25 from Shenzhen-Kemeier for personal use (for much less if you will sell them to someone and buy lots).
They're actually 'Riva' according to the picture. In Shenzhen, maufacturers also distibute, or distributors also manufacture, so it 'could' just maybe mean that just because they distribute something doesn't mean they built it.

I have several of these kits....but have found the the ones I prefer are the Rivas. They seem to last longer and give a more consistent vape. I use LR 510 atties and they work well and definitely last longer than the other batts. The biggest difference that I have noticed in the batts is that the Ego/Tornado/etc...is not quite enough battery to work well with my cartos. The Riva batt will handle the carto....but not as well as I would like. So I use the cartos with my HV mods. Maybe some LR cartos are in order? hmmmm....

Looks like the eGo T's are the next in line to be manufactured by many...

A Canadian member talks about running into some knockoff eGo T atomizers in the Canada forum. His findings start at this post and it continues on from there. A quick search on Alibaba suggests the vendor is marketing a product manufactured by Kelvin.

Kelvin's Alibaba page

Maybe on it's own the Kelvin product is fine but if it's parts are not compatible with the Joytech eGo T's and visa versa end users will no doubt be very frustrated.

I see alot of egos that are not Joye's... I mean they say they're not Joyes..such as the FS.... are those not legal or is it ok since they don't claim to be Joye brand?

Once again, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Janty was the original company that made the "eGo". And that Joye was a subsidiary of Jany.

To be honest, I think all the "eGo"s are made in one huge factory in China. They just slap what ever name you want on them on any given day.

I don't understand patent law for China. It could be that a battery with a button on it was not patentable so that is why you see so many "clones".

I do know that Trademarks are enforced. So if it says it is supposed to be a made by company "X" and it isn't, then that is an infringment. But for anyone who has ever been to China knows, boot legging is rampet.
