So after much anticipation I received my order from Liberty Flights which came 2 days later. I opened it up (5mins ago) and it is smaller than I thought it would be (good thing). I did notice that on one of the batteries the black matte is peeling even prior to me even touching it. So I took it right out of the box put it together, put three drops onto the atomizer and started to puff. I don't know if its because the battery is not fully charged but I didn't get nearly as much smoke as I have seen on youtube videos. There is a lot of gargling when I puff and the back of my throat hurts, I did get a nicotine buzz :2cool:. So now my question, is my throat supposed to hurt? I am kinda worried that with daily use that the battery is going to look funny pealing away? Gargling? Buzzed? How long does it take to fully charge a battery via usb? Can I stand it on my desk without a leaking problem, or lay it on its side?

As the other posters have said, you should blow out the primer liquid. It's nasty and harsh. Atomizers also take a while to break in and don't produce as much vapor until they do. Give it a chance, it'll improve.

On the battery that's peeling, you can probably return it if it bothers you. It's a cosmetic issue and won't hurt the function so I'd just keep it since I'm past caring what my rig looks like as long as it works.

Just about any vaper will tell you there's a learning curve with any vaping device. It could also be possible that the person you saw on youtube was using an LR(low resistance) atomizer, which produces more vapor because it burns hotter. As a previous poster said too, they do have to break in a bit. When I first got my eGo, I hated it! I stuck to my KR808s, then I moved over to my eGo and loved it, ended up owing 6 of them. Now I use my $8.50 madvapes box mod kit pretty much exclusively. The eGo is a great device though, you'll get the hang of it. And if you don't get the hang of dripping or simply don't like it, the 510 connection on your eGo will allow you to explore a large variety of options... mega cartos, LR cartos, Tanks, etc. etc. etc... good luck!

Oh yeah, and I'd send that peeling one back for replacement. You didn't order a "peeling" eGo and you shouldn't have to put up with one. Liberty Flights should be happy to replace it for you.

If I were you I'd order some cartomizers too... just in case. If the expense isn't a big deal, they'd be handy to have if dripping doesn't work for you. If you get some Boge LR's those will knock your socks off! They produce tons of vapor. When you get your drip tip, you could go with a wide mouth(or non-tapered) one, so you can more easily drip through it without having to take it off every time you drip.

Lots of people like the 306 atomizer with a drip tip. It's a compact, exposed thread atty that the tip fits on and seals. You can drip juice right through the end of the mouthpiece without removing it. Specify the 2 ohm LR atty for best taste and longer life. It will screw right onto your 510 and Ego batteries.

Cisco is a favorite 306 atty. They are tested before shipping.

I like these also. They work great on my 2AA box mod, I like how they're only about an inch long. And I don't get the burning taste or leaking I do with the 510's, but I'm not a dripping pro either. I mostly use these awesome Boge LR cartos :)

So I just got off the the phone with Ti? I hope I spelled that correctly, excellent customer service! Two thumbs up, he is going to replace my battery for me and told me to hold onto mine until his comes in the mail so that I am not without a battery. I also did order some bogo 2.0ohm cartomizers and some juices, and hes throwing in a free drip tip. I doubt I will be ordering from anywhere else. :toast:

Nice! And I'm assuming bogo is typo for Boge :) good move! You're gonna love 'em. I do! And if for some strange reason you don't, you'll have no problem trading them for some juice or something in the classifieds :)

A box of cartos on hand will save you in a pinch even if you don't care for them. Think of them as a box of spare atty's to use if your atty's die on you.

I am still finding it very harsh on my throat, am I puffing it to hard? I used the ones that came with the unit, and cleaned one of them up and loaded it with red energy 24mg and its still harsh. Any suggestions?

I at first vaping is harsh for I think a lot of people. You have to adjust to it. Remember what you went through when you first started smoking? Same thing. It doesn't take long to adjust though, and when you do... it is awesome. Don't worry, that harshness will go away. When I first started, I was on here saying that I thought the 'Kamel' flavor I ordered must be "Kamel" non-filter because it was so harsh, but when I adjusted to it.. it was nice and smooth and I loved it. Hang in there!
