Anyone know what switching modes between auto and manual does?
I bought my eVic about a week ago and to tell you the truth, and keep in mind this is just from my experience. It wasn't really worth the money. When I first purchased it, it was great all around. My first time charging it I had came back and it wouldn't fire at all. I didn't have one of the faulty devices that were recalled or anything it just didn't work anymore. So I brought it back and got a new one for free. Two days after using it I already have issues with misfiring and simple not firing at all. Its strange because on occasion it wont work with certain atomizers and cartos. I try them with one of my other devices and they work fine. It will work well when I change out the carto or atomizer but for some reason the one I originally had in it just wont fire up. After looking around and seeing that nobody really is having the exact same issues as me I've just came to the conclusion that there's something wrong with my new eVic. I'm going to try and return it tomorrow and hopefully can at least get store credit from my local vape shop.
My eVic just randomly went into this test mode. The screen said:
Test Mode
Main
Key Start
In both cases it is non-responsive, screen just stays there. The only workaround I have found effective is to remove the head from the battery, hold the button down while plugging into computer, doing a factory reset in MVR, reattaching battery, and finally updating to v1.1 in MVR. However, this only works temporarily, every time this has happened, the screen goes back to Test Mode (seconds, minutes, or hours later) and I have to redo this workaround. Is the device defective or is there a way to turn off this Test Mode?
I'm leaning real hard in the direction of the Evic, but I'm also hooked on the T3 and Evod bottom coil clearomizers from Kanger. I've read this thread and searched and it seems like some of these devices take some minor tweaking to get them to connect to the Evic. I guess I just want to make sure that you actually CAN pull the post on ALL these clearos/cartos/vapor delivery devices.
And it also seems like some folks screw on the T3 (or MT3, whichever) without any fiddling about and it just....works.
I don't mind doing it, I just want to make sure that doing so won't screw up either device. I kinda feel like I'm beating a dead horse, but you know the saying....."better safe than sorry...."

I suspect that if you update to 1.2 your issue will clear up. I am sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue. I have had no issues so far with my eVIC. Additionally there was a recall on some serial numbers you may want to check their site and see if yours was in one of the batches they are replacing.
so whats going on with the user profiles thing I was hearing the Janty MiD was gonna do?
is the eVic going to be able to do that, or can it do that already?
This is probably the case here.My understanding is it is in the 1.2 update. Havent tried it yet as I'm happy just the way it runs now. Not really sure why variable timing of different wattage would make a difference. Sometimes my draw is only 2 seconds others it may be close to 10 seconds.
