my evic sometimes scrolls on its own too but i can stop it by jerking the wheel the other way.
I've said it before, this definitely isn't one of the more durable devices out there. Feels cheap to me.
Butttt, it looks great, the technology inside is fun, and it vapes great. Just need the 18350 tube now.

MVR run as admin "trick" does the.. trick. 1 thing I dont understand is the puff counter.
Mine changes with the voltage, never seems to be right.. I have no idea when it resets, & i just dont get it.
But other than that stuff and the puff counter that escapes my mind, i like it a lot. :p
NOT complicated at all. Comes with a manual. You just need to read it over once :p (not my style)

Just found a random but awesome feature! So I run a Vapeonly BCC tank, and the air holes are right above the threading on the 510 connector. When I screw the tank down all the way it covers the air holes and lets less air in, if I unscrew the tank a little bit it would let more air it. The problem with that is the tank would wiggle around a lot and it bugged me. Then I remembered the eVic top ring, and used it as a locking washer, basically.

The tank not screwed down (notice the eVic top ring is flush against the control head

If you screw the eVic top cap up and "lock" it with the bottom of your tank then it hold its perfectly (notice the tiny gap between the eVic top cap and the control head)

In both pictures the tank it in the exact same position, with the top cap you can make up that gap, and since it has 4 air holes there isnt any restriction

Nice workaround, I'm having the same issue with my atty and this option unfortunately does not work for me for aesthetics of my parts I wouldn't want to scratch my titanium tank or the custom SS top cap of my eVic...

I would need a protruding post or shallower 510 plug...Saw the top off? I'm afraid I'll damage it...They could have thought of this...Not only it restricts air, it also whistles when I draw harder...:(

The puff counter thing is simple, one number represents puffs you have taken, the other(the one that changes) is the eVic calculating how many puffs you have left on this battery.

I've dropped my Evic a couple of times. Actually...I didn't really drop it. It fell/rolled off the table once or twice. Luckily there is no apparent damage. It still works just fine. What is odd is that when I picked it up after it fell. It was in OFF mode. I'm not sure if the Evic has some sort of shock safety feature. It still works perfectly fine after I turned it back on.

Yeah so Joyetech finally got back to me and told me I needed to contact the seller for warranty work. Well the site i bought it from has some fine print that says they do not honor any warranty and of course they have not emailed me back.

So I have a pretty expensive paperweight. Be careful where you buy things and read the fine print.

Ain't that the truth.

So far I'm loving the eVic, but the build quality is def a concern of mine down the line. I plan to get a Provari mini in the near future for on the go and the eVic will probably be my go to device slapped with a huge tank while vaping at home. Love the tech features and feel it is probably the best bang for the buck in its price range.

It's the battery spring gets pushed down in a drop and the power is lost so it shuts off. I got a stainless steel tube and top. My tube is 5mm longer and any little bump makes mine shut off. Especially if hit on the bottom cap!

Problem is, that test goes out the window once a tank/etc. is attached and it becomes top heavy. Also have to look at lever effect of longer clearomizers/etc.

Still, people need to stop the Provari comparisons. Does Provari use an LCD Display? This has a full wrap around acrylic panel to allow maximum visibility.
