Interesting, annap...time to send an email to Jack!

Genuine Joyetech is a good thing!

I'm curious what colours and/or labels they come in. I know that doesn't affect the performance, but hey...style counts for something. Anyway I'll definitely give a 5-pak a try if Jack stocks them, and see how they compare to the standard Boge 510 cartomizers.

Tried them, I'm pretty good at vaping them until they are dry and burnt. Same with the mega cartos.
Trouble is, when I think I need to fill them, and try to, it takes maybe .4 of a ml and starts leaking juice... dunno why I'm having difficulty, or perhaps my expectations of how a carto should behave are completely off?

Trying some soft-tip cartos I got from Happy Vaper and some of the 808 cartos, just to see...

Here's what a Joye 510 carto looks like after you crack the plastic base with vise grips and pull it off. Rest of the pictures are terribly blurry, camera's macro feature doesn't work too well.

The plastic shell has a single air vent running up the side to the mouthpiece (you can see it when you pop the 2 black caps off the mouthpiece and look in - it runs all the way down to the atty area), and the cotton wad lives in the filler area. Measured from the metal bottom of the carto, the reservoir is 1 and 3/8 inches long.

This one was completely dry almost when I opened it, no wonder it tasted off. Direct dripping onto the carto's atty worked fine, was able to inhale tasty vapour that way. Perhaps a non-melty plastic tube could be put on the thing for direct dripping, or some kind of wet feed system?

I keep refilling them but they don't seem to wick very well, I end up getting leaks. My kung fu is weak yet..

(Click each pic for larger version) This is a picture of the atty part of the carto.. can't get any closer with the cameras I have. I've cut the fluff off it for a better look.

The gummy looking thing in the center is the wick. It seems to have a loop that sticks up in an S shape to catch the juice, then funnels it to a coil in below. The coil & wires and ends of the loop all appear to be stuck in some sort of epoxy. The wad of filler was anchored to one end of the wick loop where it enters the epoxy. Wish I could show you a good picture! The coil glows red hot when the button is triggered.

Cross section of the carto after the mouthpiece has been cut off at 1 3/8" - this is what lives in cart just below the part you puncture with your needle to fill it.
