The Cubis PRO's new removable Top Cap is ingenious and makes Top-Filling very easy...

I wanted to love it...but...

I'm a confirmed MTL Tootle Puffer (usually end up 10W-11W)...

a couple months ago I bought:

A Cubis PRO and a 5-pack of BF Clapton-1.5ohm heads...and...

An eGo ONE Mega V2 tank and a 5-pack of CLR coils-1.0Ω heads...

I put both in my Rotation and used them through multiple tankfulls...

Yesterday...getting a little more serious about FDA Dooming backups...

I ordered a couple more eGo ONE Mega V2 Tanks (and NO more Cubis PRO's)...

You guys/gals who have both the original Cubis and the Cubis Pro, do you think the Pro is considerably better? In which way? I'm ok with the filling method of the regular Cubis and almost exclusively use the RBA head.

Better yes but mostly due to the easier fill method, slightly more capacity and shorter overall height. It still has the annoyances of the original tank like spit back. I haven't tried the RBA head on the original (got one on my desk to try when this coil needs changed next, which should be soon) but I did try the QCS in the Pro tank and it was terrible. More spit back then I had ever experienced. I yanked it out in less than a day and put a 0.5 coil back in.

Sounds like I won't have any use of the Pro. I might try the Wotofo Sapor.

What Fozzy said. I like the design better than the original.

I think it's a great MTL tank and a terrible DL tank.

I'm in love with it. I've been a MTL vaper for 2 years and a half. Never stuck with a clearo because none satisfied me as much as RTAs.
Well, with this one I think the story is slightly different. I love the ease of use, looks, capacity, flavor etc. Everything works as I imagined, even if I want to DL a couple of tanks, I like all coils to be honest but the 1.5 claptons are killer

For me...using only the BF Clapton-1.5ohm heads...

Cubis...very frequent gurgling and flooding...

Cubis PRO...NO gurgling and NO flooding...

Good to know since I have a few boxes of those coils. I haven't done MTL in a while but my roomie may end up needing/wanting to use this tank with those coils some day.

Yeah I agree totally from old to new tank with the BF 1.5s. Even though I DL, I actually still have mine loaded with MTL juice so to speak and it may sit a week before I hit it, but it works flawlessly each time.

Guys, I'm having a pretty annoying issue.

The top cap gasket has decided to unattach itself whenever I remove the top cap in order to refill, it's a massive massive pain in the ... trying to fit it back into the top cap, after doing so, when I re-open it, same thing happens, it remains at at the top of the chimney / fill holes. Does anyone have this issue? And how did you solve it? Its pretty ridiculous and makes refilling a nightmare.

Cheers

Not aware of any fixes...

For me...if I had gotten any more than 2 days use out of it...I'd just toss it and get another...

$15.95 = 3 packs of analogs = 2 days of smoking when I was a smoker...

[Assuming ratio is the same in the U.K.]

I haven't had this issue ... YET, but always suspected it might happen.

Knowing that it might happen, and considering that Joyetech doesn't offer replacement o-rings or gaskets, I've already got plans to plug up the 2 holes that the gasket seals off.

Those 2 holes serve NO functional purpose, and are essentially useless. I'm baffled as to why JT added them.

If you can figure out how to plug those 2 holes (epoxy, tiny rubber plugs, tiny set screws, etc.), you won't need that gasket anymore.

I got a Cubis Pro last week, and had high hopes for it, but no matter how I prime the coil it still spits and gurgles. I am a MTL vaper and used the 1.5 Clapton coils on an iStick set at 10.5w and the thing spit so bad it was nuts.
I use the 0.5 coils in my night time 0mg nic mod. It sits sometimes days (or weeks) on end and all I do is turn it upside down and fire it until I see vapor and I have no spitting. My brothers girl friend uses my old cubis and cubis pro tanks with the 1.5 coils and never complains of spitting. I refill her tanks, briefly turn it upside down until I see an air bubble or two, and put it back in her rotation until the one she is using needs refilled or a coil change. I prime new coils with 3 - 5 drops down the top then repeat the above process.

I've just seen this post, my two evic basics came with two cubis pros an the two tanks have gone on in the bin... even with the 1.5 everyone praises it spits and gurgles to no avail, I am using my nautilus mini with them an these tanks won't see the light of day
my roomie uses the 1.5's without issues. I do the refilling for her. After refilling try turning them upside down for a few seconds until you see a couple bubbles go up from the cap. You can also try firing them upside down briefly if they have been sitting a while and/or using a q-tip to get any excess juice out before you take a vape if they have been sitting a while since last used.

edit: I see I said all this same stuff in my last post, my bad.

It makes a horrible gurgling noise like a freaking hot tub too though :(
I don't get that noise with the 0.5 coils. I do get gurgling and other various noises from my RTA's that I use some times but I don't care if it makes noise (the woosh of the wide open airflow is more obnoxious for me on some of my toppers) as long as it keeps me of analogs.

I had a chance to finally try the .6 ohm MTL coil. That's pretty nice. Hit or miss with the 1.5 clapton - had one nice one and one crappy one.

I still think if they put a little more into making these coils better, this tank would be a huge hit. Literally everything but the coils is great on this thing (no leaking, size, capacity, top fill designe and coil options (mtl vs dl). It's a shame.

good to hear. I bought a couple boxes but haven't had a reason to test them yet. Might have to grab a few more boxes next time I order more 1.5's for the roomie.
edit: I might just give her one to try on the next coil change as I don't really MTL and she wants more vapor. Does it give better clouds for you while still providing a good MTL hit?
