I'm a confirmed MTL (Tootle Puffer) vaper.

With Kanger T3S coils, Aspire BVC coils, etc. I get a satisfying vape at 7-10 Watts.

But with the Cubis BF 1.5Ω Clapton coils I'm getting A LOT of gurgling.

What "Wattage Range" should I be aiming for with the (1.5Ω) CUBIS???

..
8-20 watts if I remember correctly.

The 'Burgh, PA.
I'm a MTL vaper and have only used the 1.5Ω Clapton coils.

The first couple tankfulls I used it like a previous tank (a Nautilus)...8-11 Watts and making sure the AFC was closed before screwing on the top.

It gurgled/flooded horribly!!!

From the 3rd tank on...I cranked it up to 11-15 Watts and made sure the AFC was OPEN before screwing on the top (and kept my index finger over the drip tip opening).

It's now "Tootle Puffer Heaven". :headbang:

[I now like my Cubis so much I bought two more ($14.45 each) at the recent May Day FT Sale!]

HOW I SOLVED THE SPITBACK/GURGLING

Thread looks like it is dying but I will throw in my two cents for the future readers.

Running .2 Ohm NI Coil on Ego One Mega VT Battery (High Temp NI Setting) 50/50 DIY Juice

Every time I filled the tank it would gurgle and burn my tongue... Sometimes it cured itself quickly and sometimes to no end. Here is my solution now.

Fill the tank and screw on the top. Close the air all the way, or at least as much as it goes. Take one long hard drag. You might get some juice in your mouth 25% of the time so position your tongue accordingly. Then quickly move the airflow to about half position and puff away. Stays working proper until another refill or sometimes a very long sit with a full tank. This has now been working consistently for probably a couple months and although my tongue takes one for the team every now and then its a worthwhile tradeoff for the other benefits IMO.

Hopefully this helps someone else out.

What resolved my Cubis spitting and gurgling issues was simply to tighten the top cap, happens that it was not previously tight enough.

Thank you. Odds are the Cubis everything I just ordered with it will go straight into my doomsday stash but I'll keep this in mind should I ever use it.
