"Out for delivery" now, so I should be getting my silver cuboid and cubis any minute now.
Ordered two of the tanks since I know my GF wants one. She watched Twisted420's video and was impressed by the design and the way it can sort of shoot right into her mouth. Told her I can do that, too!

Just got it. Gotta wait for batteries to charge (this is my first mod without built-in battery). While I wait, I thought I would post some pics of the Cuboid next to the iStick 40TC for those who are curious about size. Obviously not as pocket friendly as the iStick, but still amazingly small for what it is/does.

First impression without actually using it:
Looks great - smooth joints, no rattle (button is just a little wobbly if you push it around).
Heavy, even without batteries. Feels like about 3 iStick 40s would add up to this.

Told the GF I'd wait until she comes home to try the Cubis. Not sure if I can do that.

Some of us ordered these to solve that issue. Attys with long 510s should stay secure and sit flush with those spacers. Mine will be delivered tomorrow.
Mine will be delivered Monday along with 3 new VTCminis. I sent my other ones back because of the problem then I found out about them and I really liked the minis so just reordered them and the spacers.

I just got the spacers in and they definitely work, although they're shockingly thin and don't stay on the tank when you take it off the mod.

Hey there. So, "TC Precision" is not the "TCR" value.

TC Precision is an approximation of how accurate a given wire is when factoring in the TCR along with the base resistance of the wire and build (higher resistance builds are in theory more potentially accurate for temperature control).

What you'll want to do is take the TCR value in scientific notation and convert to decimal. E.g., 879x10-6 = 0.000879.

Then take that number and convert to Joyetech's four integer format: 0088 (after multiplying x10 -- Joyetech's format -- and rounding the last digit if required).

Also, the TCR will not change if using all of the same wire type. It doesn't change with mass, no matter how exotic the configuration. It's only when combining different material types that the TCR value will change.

This is why we'll see the same TCR for all the builds you posted (and why that TC Precision value was a red herring).

If you're using all of the same wire material, I've done the work of converting into Joyetech's format here, along with providing some alternate TCR values: The Ultimate TCR List

If you're going to mix metals in your builds, then of course you'll have to start with Steam Engine and convert from there.

Also, on why some of those large, crazy values worked at all for you: it essentially is putting the mod into wattage mode, except for maybe an extreme out-of-bounds heat value like dry firing a coil.
What a great and thorough explanation!

I'm so glad I found this thread. You have really done your homework. I'll be checking The Ultimate TCR List and referring it to friends.

Hey @NickJustNick ,

Your username reminded me of a joke...

Just Fred

A cop stopped a Harley biker for traveling faster than the posted speed limit, so he asked the biker his name.

"Fred," he replied.

"Fred what?" the officer asked.

"Just Fred," the man responded.

The officer was in a good mood and figured he might just give the biker a break, and write him out a warning instead of a ticket. The officer then pressed him for the last name.

The biker said "I used to have a last name, but I lost it."

The officer thought that he had a nut case on his hands, but he played along with it. "Tell me, Fred, how did you lose your last name?"

Fred replied, "It's a long story, so try to keep up. I was born Fred Johnson. I studied hard and got good grades."

"When I got older, I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through college, medical school, internship, residency, and finally got my degree, so I was Fred Johnson, MD.

"After a while, I got bored being a doctor, so I decided to go back to school. Dentistry was my dream! Got all the way through school again and got my degree, so I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS."

"Got bored doing dentistry, so I started fooling around with my assistant. She gave me VD, so I was Fred Johnson, MD, DDS, with VD."

"Well, the ADA found out about the VD, so they took away my DDS. Then I was Fred Johnson, MD, with VD."

"Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took away my MD, leaving me as Fred Johnson with VD."

"Then the VD took away my Johnson, so now I am Just Fred."

The officer walked away in tears, laughing.

Bummer, I just ordered some of these from KP. No biggie. I'm sure I'll find a use for them.

Well, the ones from slowtech do seem to stay on, for what it's worth. The 510 hole is small enough that the STM has to sorta "screw on," so to speak.

Here's the link again to those: $7.39 Replacement POM Heat Insulation Gasket for Atomizers (10-Pack) 10-pack - black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I drilled a few holes in an old coffee can lid (510 size)

then cut them out square
pop’d the square (with hole) on the 510 atty
screwed on a base from an old EVOD (like a nut/keeper)
then with a nice sharp razor blade trimmed it to
the O.D. of said atomizer – perfect

I did this way back because the fill screw on my Kayfun
stuck out (not flush) and made it sit bad on my mod…

so after I made above piece, I hacked off a corner to allow stupid screw
to now sit flush…

then continued to use same for some other attys, that had long 510 pins, as spacers

sure any plastic (thickness) of your choice would work

wanted to post my feelings about as i have had the Cuboid for a couple days now. it really works how it should, power mode (my max is 90w) and TC works great for TI and SS, i dont vape on NI200 so ill never know about that. the TCR function works great, was playing with it with a twisted SS coil in my STM. Battery life seems short for my 25r's , like it uses alot of power while sitting with the screen on. its HEAVY, a brick. buttons work great, no rattle at all. im not impressed with the firing buttons location, but thats all me and not really a con. they are really clicky and have a great tactile feel, battery door is really nice, closes well and makes contact with the batteries. my self i would give this mod a 8 out of 10. if it had a way to set a preheat for power hungry coils it would be a 9 out of 10 and there would be noo need for a DNA 200

Cant you use you applied wattage as your preheat setting (applying 100w or whatever wattage will almost instantly preheat your build to temperature) in TC and allow the mod to use the temperature setting to control your vape?

Rocking and a rolling! Love it! Been using it for a couple of days without issues. Firmware upgrade was easy peasy.

I'm in TC with stainless UWELL Crown tank set at 160 watts, 570F (I like a warm vape), but it pretty much works like a pre-heat punch and then on to a great vape!

Got mine here early > Joyetech cuboid tc 150w mod kit

Is yours a Not for Sale Sample? Just curious. It is still in Pre-Order status many places.
