Not usually a silicone sleeve fan but I have to show this one off. This is without a doubt the best quality sleeve I've seen. Fit is perfect finish is strong and durable. Battery door is accessible without removing sleeve. Buttons are covered and protected but very responsive. Found this silicone king creation on eBay. Like it so much I ordered one for my istick 100w TC

I put a SS430 10 wrap on 2.5mm for 0.73Ω build in the SQRs tonight and set the TCR to 120 instead of 138.Set the Cuboid to 420F @ 35W and it is providing an excellent vape. I am still waiting for my SS316L to arrive but I think the SS430 will be my default wire from this point on. It works in Power mode as well as TC, can be dry burned and has the best TCR of all the readily available SS wire. Until a good source for SS410 can be located.

It slides from the bottom? Can you please post a pic of how it looks at the bottom?
Well, it totally sealed off at the bottom, so it won't slide out the bottom when pulling the mod out of your pocket etc.. BUT you will have to remove it to change out the batteries. You insert the mod thru the top & it's totally open which means you will not be restricted to just 22mm sized atomizers. Great for the Tsunami which is bottom air flow.

Now there's a Cuboid Mini, even has it's own matching tank.....

Interesting find. No information, Specs or press release on Joyetech Site. No info on mod or box regarding MAH of internal lipo battery. No info on tank capacity other than a 7-8ml guesstimate? Looked like it should have held at least 10ml. Seems like a Beta test device not intended for pubic release yet. Interesting indeed.

Without reading thorough the whole thread, what's the consensus on the ss316 tc setting?

Is this suitable for 316L or should I be using a custom setting? Trying tc for the first time and would love some feedback.

TCR setting for 316 is at 88 at least for me and after a few emails back and fourth to MVS. You can push it to 125 but I do not think you would like the vape as I have already tried that high setting and vape was terrible. Then again, vaping is suggestive so you might like it that high??

So I received my new tap a few days ago. Took it into work today to get started

I started drilling out the existing 510. I think I ended up using a 5/16" bit to finally pop it loose. Was just pressed in

And after debating on what size bit to actually use for the pre-tap hole, I settled on a 3/8 bit
Seeing as how i am tapping into aluminum with some very fine threads, by hand was the only way. Used plenty of cutting oil to make it go nice

I must say, after getting it in 1/4 of the way, I was a little worried. Aluminum is soft, and it felt like it was dropping after turning a few rotations. My fear was that after cutting a thread, it was somehow being cut away. I was going to wind up with nothing but a smooth hole.

But alas, it is completed. I kept with it, and went all the way through. Removed the tap from the handle and let it pass right through the hole

I had originally planned on using the 10mm 510, which is just a threaded shaft with no top plate. But after placing it inside, i decided it didnt look good. So I am going to end up using the 14mm

It also ends up shorter in the heatsink than the stock one did.

Everything is currently going through a few ultrasonic cycles to remove the oil.

Thats all for now. Work is going back onto overtime. So i may have to hold off until sunday at the earliest to assemble and test.
Trying to settle on how I want to keep it in there. Either conductive glue on the threads so I woudl never be able to remove it, or some conductive grease on threads and a dab of glue/loctite at the bottom. And some 1-1.5mm thick thermal pads for the board/heatsink connection.

I really wish I woudlve taken a resistance reading before I drilled the stock one out though. For comparisons sake and i believe the way its made is whats giving me that difference in resistance readings. But wanted to compare to the new one.

Well this total PoS Cuboid Garbage is starting to give me the dreaded Atomizer Short with one of my RTAs... Should have known better than to get another Joyetech product after all the VTC Mini foolishness...

Waiting on the final results from @absoluttalent and his FDV replacement to see if it is worth the time and effort...

There will be no more Joyetech garbage ever purchased again!

Sorry I couldnt turn this into a weekend thing, life is funny how it keeps you busy at times.

I just put the first clear coat on my paint today. will do a second later

Went with a can (i think rustolium) Harvest Orange. They didnt have a can of red I liked. Looks a little darker in person

I am still trying to track down some thermal pads that will fit. I may have to order those :(
But I have everything else lined up and ready to go for reassembly once I get those pads

edit* just ordered some thermal gloop with amazon prime, so expecting it to be here wednesday. Its not a paste, supposed to be more like a putty thats good up to 3mm thick with a temp rating of 200* C. Will see how it goes
