Joyetech Cuboid Mini 80w Kit

Yeah, didn't have the patience for fasttech. E-Wolk had a reasonable deal that included five extra Notch coils. And I heard there's some issues with the accuracy of the temperature control on the Notch coils because of the Nickel leads. Temperature Protection seems to kick in fine though, so I'm satisfied too.

I've been using the delrin drip tip included with the Cuboid Mini and haven't had any issues since. This style of drip tip does restrict the airflow though, which is a shame. I agree that this amount of spitback is not acceptable, but I've been enjoying my kit nontheless.

And the Notch coil is absolutely fantastic. I find myself taking much short hits because of the short ramp up time and the flavor is amazing!
Its about the coil right ???
So I can use it in cubis also.

OK, gotta asky you cuboid mini people how you like these coils now that Joyetech is releasing the Egrip II with the same design. Are they any good? I get the impression a few are complaining about ample spitting on these. Been looking for a decent all in one forever & while Nebox is passable I'm intrigued now. Joyetech seems married to this new coil design.

Everything seems like same to same except the battery.

I'm still a bit flabbergasted that there isn't more interest in this little device, I'd expected this thread to be on page 20 or 30 at least by now

I couldn't resist it any longer anyways, it'll be a while before it gets here but I got one on the way now.

I even bought that silly tank with it because it was just 11 bucks more, lol

Finally!

I've only played with it briefly so far but it is a nice one, this little mod. It fits in the little 5th coin pocket of my jeans.

I have the square tank too but I'm not a fan. Even after a half hour soak in hot soapy water and a thorough rinsing it still tastes like machine-oil. I've only tried the 0,5ohm SS coil thus far but it spits like crazy and besides that there isn't much flavor (except before-mentioned machine oil..).

I'll give the MTL coil a go too before I decide if I'll retire it or not though.

No biggie, I'm an RTA guy anyway. I just wanted to give it a try for just 11 bucks more.

Gonna play with it a little more, I'll be back when I have some more experience with this cutie :)

ps: which software version are you guys running?

Mine came with 3.0 installed and I had a quick look, but 3.2 only seems to add the logo-option and ads an extra sub-menu for the TC modes which only makes it seem more difficult to get to my preferred modes from what I gather. V3.3 ads just the gaming mode from what I understand?

I think I'll stick with 3.0 for now :)

A quick update after two days, it is really really nice!

Love the way it feels in the hand, love the way it caries in my 5th jeans pocket, easy to use menu, nice crisp, bright & sharp screen, and TC is really nice and smooth on this thing.

It works so well and predictable it's almost boring, lol

Now the wait is for a new version with a clock like they put on most of there other models

I don't get this tank though. I would love for it to work properly because it's just so darn cute irl, but it comes across as something they put together and started selling without ever trying it out.

So far I've tried the notch coil and the 0,5ohm SS coil and I haven't been able to get a proper hit of either of them yet at any setting I've tried.

Even when I get the coil dry after filling as soon as I take a normal hit I get a beak full of hot juice and little vapor. Other then that it is noisy, it hisses at me like a cornered cat, it just feels so aggressive.

I might as well get the other coils wet too before I discard the thing, but I doubt my experience will be any different with those.

Does anyone know what kind of wire they use for the RBA coil by the way?

Notch coils are aggressive & you need an anti spit drip tip. FT has this one which is a clone of an Aromamizer Drip Tip. $1.37 303 Stainless Steel 510 Drip Tip - 18mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Thanks for the tip, I've seen the ones with a little mesh screen inside it to catch the liquid but that design is new to me. I might just try one out of curiosity. I don't know if my coils will still work by the time it gets here though, FT has been super slow with shipping for me so far.

I can't seem to find my tiny mason-jars so I've put them in a zip-lock baggy after use hoping it'll keep 'm wet for a while.

I'm not sure if it'll fix the problem though, the coils just seem to drown the moment you start hitting them.

That is the beauty of the cubis/Egrip II/CuboidMini coils is the Notch is easier to rewick than it is to rebuild the RBA.

Usually when they drown like you say there is either a problem with tank top seal or the O-ring on the tube shaft where the coil mounts. They will flood a bit right after a fill but it should vape away after a hit or so & not flood again unless tank vacuum seal is compromised.

Interesting, thanks. The top seal looks good but I haven't paid much attention to the ones on the coils. I'll check those o-rings and try again tomorrow.

I just started playing with the 1,5ohm MTL Clapton coil and that one seems to work ok, I've settled on 14,5W for now.

There's still a little spitting but only teeny tiny mist-like drops. Flavor isn't super impressive but not bad for a MTL coil I guess. This is the first time I use an above-ohm coil since I moved on from Egos so I do not have much to compare it to. It definitely kicks an Ego's behind though :)

Anyone here who uses this coil in the Cuboid mini tank that has a Kayfun V3, Lite V3 or a V5 to compare it to perhaps? I've been curious about those for a while now.

Still enjoying the 1,5ohm Clapton, it didn't flood again overnight.

I feel kinda stupid now though. The CM is my most advanced mod and what do I do? I'm using it in VW mode for crying out loud

I said I would never buy another pre-made coil again not too long ago but I might just have to order a pack of these. I'll try the other coils again first though, I'll be back!
