I am not so sure an rba would be needed with this. I am a mouth to lung and not too hot because I use 25, vaper.... the .5 was not comfortable and the 1 ohm was very comparable to the eGrip rba.

I took one apart this morning and these are vertical coils surrounded by a fibrous material (I did not pick it apart because I did not want to destroy a perfectly good atty) The top and bottom are simply trapped by pressfit pieces... so I am not so sure you could not rebuild as it sits... perhaps I will try and put a higher ohm coil in the .5 just for grins. I will let you know.

The Voltage is not adjustable on this, I would guess that is the reason for the sub-ohm thing.

The only dimension I saw was 49mm tall, but I can't find if that is for the 1.8ml or 2.5ml. I don't have any interest in a tube batt, but the tank is appealing. Which one did you get?

I got the 1.8 and the 1100mAh battery. The size of the tank with base is 1 1/4 inches and the battery is aro 2 5/16.

I think it's time to e-mail Vicky through the web site about it. Something seems to have gone wrong at the Post Orifice.

I emailed her yesterday, and me emailing her was like remember back in the day when lighting a cigarette at the table in the restaurant made the food come? Two hours after I got her response, the tracking finally updated…my stuff was in Charlotte today and hit my local main PO today. I should get it tomorrow. :D

My bad! I thought they had delivered it! So close and yet so far...

I ordered something from E-ciggity on Cyber Monday. It made it to North Carolina from Hawaii in like a day and a half…and then sat at my local main post office waiting for someone to drive it the literal three miles to my box for three days. Who the heck even knows anymore?

Thanks for being awesome, Vicky!

I'd like to announce that today marks for me one month with zero cigs! I never thought I could do it, and I have vaping and the eGrip to thank.

Also to be noted: I'm using what I'm pretty sure is 100% VG (the Dekang USA Mix from Cignot) with the stock CS atomizer heads in my eGrip(s), and though new to vaping, I'm not finding any problems with it.

Embarrassed to say "pretty sure" as I had asked for 100% VG in the store on both visits, and while the bottles are marked VG, they still have PG on the label?

The VG is 80%VG 20%PG, the Dekang PG is 80%PG 20%VG

The Basic line has many all VG. The only PG that is in some of their flavors is because it is in the flavoring.

Congrats on 1 Month!!

So I was able to swap the coils without much trouble... here are the pics of the top and bottom. I should note that the diameter of the coil I used was smaller so I packed around it with some cotton.

Hey Vicky, The size of that Ego One tank caught my attention last week! Do you expect them to come out with an RBA for it? It looks sweet, but I don't want sub-ohm. The RBA is so much better than the Egrip heads, it makes me wonder/hope... The dimensions look perfect for the istick mini! But why only sub-ohm? What am I missing?

My eGrip came in the mail today! I haven't really had a chance to play with it, as I've been out and about all day. But man, that thing feels pretty solid! I just put it on the charger and topped off the battery…after supper I'm going to fill it and play with it more. Stock RBA coil that was installed in it reads 1.34 on my meter. That little tester attachment thing is pretty great. I'm pretty excited to give it a try.

ETA: WOW. I broke it out after supper, gave it a quick cleaning (just wiped out the inside of the tank with some slightly damp paper towel strips) made sure the wick was saturated and all the parts of the RBA were screwed on tight, and filled it up. I started out with some of my Charlie Noble's juice, which is very high VG and is a serious coil killer to the point that I can't vape it in my tanks unless I want to be replacing coils every three days. It had no problem at all wicking, no dry hits, and the flavor was intense! Unfortunately, the juice was 18mg nic..and it became apparent to me pretty quickly that I wasn't going to be able to vape it with this equipment without making myself whoopsy. So I switched out to some 12mg Cocomel by Trinity, and am currently loving life. The vapor and flavor are just wonderful. I see what other people are talking about when they say the vape is moist. I've got it cranked up to 20w right now and it's just delightful. My husband, who is not a vaper, is not a bit impressed when I say "Baby, look at this cloud!" but I feel like I'm producing as much vapor and flavor as my Orchid does, easily…if not just a bit more intense flavor!

Obviously I am going to give it a week or so to play around with and see how it holds up, but I think I'm going to be getting a backup one of these, and that it might replace my good old iStick for daily use.

Thanks Vicky!

When in the Addison store to get the second eGrip, I also tried out and bought a bottle of the Basic Tobeeco - I liked it a lot. Told myself I was going to run down the supply of USA Mix on hand first - I like that flavor a lot, too. I'm only using about a tank a day (I never let it run down below the bottom of the tank window, though).

With all the good word about the eGrip RBA though, I'll be back to the Addison store on Saturday for it and more Tobeeco. I'm finding that I do want more airflow even with removing the adjust screws in both, but also wary of some reports I've read about leakage with the RBA. And I've talked myself out of my "low fuss" rule - how often am I going to be redoing coils, after all? Twice a month maybe? :)

FWIW, if I haven't already mentioned it before - I bought the first eGrip on Dec. 20, and didn't sense the need to change out the CS head that came in it until I brought home the second eGrip on Dec. 31 - but I probably could have gone a few more days on it, so let's call it two weeks at 24 draws / hour for 18 hours at 10-12 watts and 80/20 VG/PG.

Anybody know where to order the micro USB ports? I work at a vape shop and have like 5 egrips that need new usb's because the internals are missing. Also looking for a battery. Had one brand new that had a battery vented in it. I love the thing but joyetech screwed over so many people with the version 1. At my shop we are going to stop stocking all joyetech products because the quality is going down with there stuff. On a different note the aspire batteries are way better quality than the egos and look a whole lot nicer.

I pulled one apart and found that the actual solder points for the USB were pulled off the board. I would be interested in knowing if you are able to work around that!

and no, you are mistaken, Joyetech did not screw anyone over. Joyetech does have a policy though that if you sell (or if your wholesaler allows to be sold) below their pricing, you are not eligible to receive their support or warranty.

That being said, I do have an eGrip battery for you if you want it.

I would be interested in knowing if anyone has tried any different wick materials other than the cotton supplied by Joyetech for the rebuildable. I am specifically interested if anyone has tried the ReadyXWick material. That is what I use in my other RBAs. I would also like to add how pleased I am with CigNot and the response I have received. This is a vendor that is a pleasure to do business with.

I'm so bummed right now. Missing my egrip. Got it, had it for a week or so and my guy (currently smoking analogs again) became fascinated with it and showed interest in vaping again if could use my new egrip. I want him to stop smoking so bad again, I jumped on it. Cleaned it out, filled it with his flavor (just so happens to be a super cinnamon flavor, like red hots) and he hasn't touched it. Been over a week. All I keep thinking is that juice has ruined that egrip for me. I know from experience that almost nothing will totally remove that cinnamon residue from the tank. I don't know how to act right now. I want to order another for myself-or take back mine. I would hate to take it away risking delaying his return to vaping but at the same time, that juice, the longer it sits in that tank, the harder it'll be to try and save it... I know, who cares right? I needed to vent, thankful to have a vaping community to lean on... Gotta find a tactful way to handle this!!! Maybe if I stop reading about all the joy this mod brings, it'll help... lol

What I'm doing to fix the USB after they are pulled off is soldering them back on. A tiny bit of the positive and negative tab seems to stay on the board so you just have to make the jump with some solder for those 2 tabs. Once I get the USB working again I put everything back together and use some high temp hot glue to hold the tab in place. I do that just before I put the bottom cover on so that it also helps keep the USB in place. So far not one has come back broken.

When joyetech doesn't offer a warrenty on just one part of their device that is extremely sketchy to me. We don't sell below wholesale price and we were an authorized dealer for joyetech but not after this problem. . We had already been in contact with joyetech over this and they won't do anything about this. When I say they screwed us over they did. I have repaired at least 10 and have 5 more that I can't repair because they are missing the internals. Our busniss has lost a few customers and money over this lately.

Well most of the tank is glass and only makes contact with only a little bit of rubber so just get some vodka or rubbing alcohol and let it sit in the tank for a few minutes. Try doing that a few times and maybe you can get most of it out.

The ones I looked at were completely torn free... granted I did not look at all that I replaced. Nice though and thanks for sharing!

So you purchase directly from Joyetech and they would not replace? Or are you purchasing through a middle man? In which case they need to replace for you and contact Joyetech.

and change that coil! I do understand your frustration... with his expressing interest and you wanting it to be available should he finally decide to do it.
