I had a misfire. My eRoll was charging in the PCC, 20 minutes later I went to the bathroom to stealth (doctors office) and I heard hissing in my purse! Pulled the battery out fast, my eRoll was hot! Burned up most of the juice, leaky mess. Swapped atties, new tank, waited a moment. Battery worked fine, but the burnt juice smell was gross! Vaped on that until I got home, pitched the battery. Now I keep my battery on charge until it is done, then flip it upside down in the case. I don't keep it unattended in my purse anymore!

Once is all it takes to change your habits. I freaked the day it happened to me. I have not intentionally left it charge side overnight a few times since, and it didnt appear to fire. It seems like its a freak occurance, and i really wonder what sets it off

The diaphragm gets stuck. Bang on it and/or suck/blow when it happens and it'll stop.

Diaphragm? When my got stuck a couple times I get the atty over off if "tightening" it doesn't stop it.

The airway isn't straight through on these, hence the hole on the side. It uses pressure to pull on the diaphragm which makes contact to activate the battery. I've seen it get stuck and just shaking/banging it resets it. If I had to guess, it's probably from a bit of liquid making its way in there making it stick.

So this is a little odd.... Had my eroll about a week now. I'm noticing this morning that I can't draw on it as long as I could before the battery shuts off. I used to be able to count to 10 when drawing but now I can only count to 4 or 5. Battery is fully charged, cartridge full of juice... could it be either the atty going out or the battery going bad?

I was looking at their site, but I only saw the LR's :(

Cignot has them, I might try them out. They don't specify resistance so I sent an email to verify that they're not the LR's. After my last order, I want to make sure these are the right ones.

Update: Never mind, I guess I don't need new ones just yet. I was able to save my old A's by rewicking with the wicks from the B's... so I basically paid $25 for 5 wicks. You live and you learn.

if the problem you have is the coil, pop the spike off the type B and type A...do not get them mixed up haha. then put the spike of the type A on the coil of the type B. the only difference in the type A and B is the spike.

i had a bunch of type B's left over and i swapped the A spike on the B coil and was rocking right along.

if the problem is the wick, get some imist wicks and slide them in where the old wick was.

best to have some imist wicks on hand when you swap the spikes out. the wicks can get messed up when you remove the spike.

That's good to know. What is the difference between the spikes?

i forget exactly how it goes haha but, if you get a magnifying glass and look at the spike of the a type A and type B atty, you will see little grooves/slots in the spike. the grooves/slots in the spike are different on each atty.

it was explained to me in the o'clock fashion haha. i do not remember the exact location but i will give you and example. lets say type A, slots are at the 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock. type B, slots are at the 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, 12 o'clock. haha

i threw away all of my type B spikes so i can not compare to tell you exactly where the grooves/slots are placed on each. but they are different due to the type A and type B tanks.

this groove placement in the spike lets the juice flow properly in the type A and type B tanks. so, yes, there is a difference but only in the spike.

type B attys will flood in the eroll and they did not work well for me in the type A tanks either.

Tried that first actually :)

The spike for the B was slightly smaller than the A spike so it didn't sit nicely in the body, it was really loose. I don't know why mine were different and yours weren't... strange. So I just yanked the wick and popped it in the A spike, worked pretty well. :)

Edit: I was really just needing to replace the wick anyway, the coil burned clean nicely. The wick was pretty fried from me figuring out how empty I could get the eRoll before having to refill lol

Are yours genuine or knock offs. I got my A's and B's from Ovale moons ago haha right after the ego c came out. I bought a TON of the A's and a few of the B's once they finally hit the market. I bought them about a year ago??? Don't remember. But I still have some left.

Maybe it's just the ovale's that the spikes are the same size. Maybe they use to be the same size when I ordered them way back when and then they changed them. No idea, but mine fit perfectly. Hmmmmmm haha no idea other than there are sooooo many mftrs of these things it's hard to tell who made them unless they are genuine joye's.

As far as wicks, if you need more in the future, get the Imist wicks. They have the mesh wrapped around them at the top. They slide right in the C atty and they work perfectly. On how empty to run the tank, I have learned to refill when there is about 10% left in the tank. If I do not, I get an occasional dry hit and my wick tastes like crap afterwards.

I have been using the enroll since Ovale first got them in. I love it. I use my MVP at home and the enroll when I am away from home, probably 85 - 90 % of the time.

The A's I had were just the two that came with the unit. The B's were a first-time order from a vendor online, they claimed they were genuine and they came in a real-looking Joyetech box, and the attys had Joyetech imprinted on them (as well as the type B marking), but there was no scratch-off on the box.

Thanks for the info on the Imist wicks, I'll get some of those next time I'm placing some orders. My hubby has banned me from ordering more supplies until I break even lol... still $210 in the hole. It's not really helping, though... my wish list is just getting bigger. ;)

Speaking of the attys, my new eRoll is my first device to use the atomizer heads, as opposed to the old-school, standard, 510 attys.

How do people suggest cleaning these heads? And how often do you do it (if at all)?

I'm relatively new to ego c atomizers. Had one around that I got free with an order. Used it a few times and forgot about it. But now I'm starting to figure all this out. I'm sure more experienced vapers will answer soon, lol. :)

I have found that how often you clean them will depend on your juice. I have a blueberry juice in one eRoll. It's still tasting great after a couple of weeks. No cleaning needed yet. My Ry4 however, starts to taste weird after a few days. So I will blast it with hot water and let it dry and it's good for a few more days. I just did a couple of dry burns for the first time and got a couple of my oldest ones tasting great again. This was after several hot water flushes.

This video was helpful for me.

Good luck!

How do you do a dry burn with an automatic battery?

I've done it two ways. Pull the spike, set the atomizer body back onto the battery, and twist the cone/tube back on. Then I either draw from the open end of the tube or blow into the battery end. Two seconds at a time till it's clean.

Edit: I sometimes use the batt end because I just don't want to taste it. However, sometimes I like to use the open end (without inhaling of course) because I can see the coil better and I'm too lazy to flip the eRoll around.

I clean my atomizers once a week, or mistakenly run the tank dry. I figure if i keep it clean it will last longer. Maybe I have been doing this wrong after reading how others have been doing it so. I have yet to dry burn.I don't pull anything apart. I use a syringe that fits on the tip of the atomizer and flush with hot water. Then I finish with a flush of vodka to get rid of any residue from the water.
