Yes, scan the threads here in this subforum for how to fill.

There's a basic problem with terminology I think. The eroll comes with "tanks" and a Type A Ego "atomizer" the tank attaches to via its spiked end. There are no "cartridges" which contain filler material that soaks up the juice that work with an eroll. Nor does it come with a "clearomizer" which includes an "atomizer" as part of it either changeable with replacement atomizers/heads or not.

Given that terminology, the answer is no. Erolls are proprietary thus do not have any threading to accomodate other juice containers. Leaking is usually due to user error although any product can have ocassional defects and, of course, the hole in the tank can get worn out with use and cause leaking. I tend of over-use my tanks and have experienced slight leakage but its no big deal to me so I just wipe it with a kleenex. Its not like a gusher though. Its not just eroll tanks I use until past their time either. I tend to pinch a penny til it squeeks.

Wait, the charge only lasts as long as it takes to smoke a cigarette? In other words only about 7 minutes and then you have to charge it again?

They last longer than 7 minutes. Probably more like 30 minutes before needing a charge. But the set up is designed so that you take a couple puffs off it & then put it back into the case to charge which is different than a lot of other cigalikes where you vape them till they run out of power & then recharge. This device is meant to be returned to the PCC frequently (though many don't use it that way).

Are there any tutorials that go over how to fill the cartridges? I'm getting lots of leaking.

Hold the tank upside down & fill it & then, keeping the tank upside down, attach it to the atomizer/ecig. Then turn the unit right side up & take a couple small puffs to get it flowing down to the atty. I would suggest you not fill the same tank over & over repeatedly without letting it sit for a bit. Condensation does build up with these tanks so some of what you might see "leaking" from the device might be condensation from not letting the tank air out. I had this problem for a long time before I started doing this & now I keep 4 tanks filled up & rotate each one rather than refilling one over & over again without a break.

Can you use a clearomozer with this instead of cartridges?

No. You need to use the tanks that come with the set up. It's proprietary.

No, you get about 20-30 mins worth of vaping time on one charge. It takes about 30 mins to charge the battery. I think thats what she meant--by the time the one battery is dead the other one is fully charged (provided you put it back in the charger :p).

Yes....and as time goes on im going longer before charging.

Just as people have been mentioning in this thread it seems there is a little "break in" that happens,
like the atomizer is going stronger than at first etc.

I'm considering the eroll, but I need some clarification. As usual, the more I research the more confused I am.

I currently use 808 autos with clearomizers. Its the simplicity I love, as I am not into the tinkering/hobby aspect of vaping. I am mostly confused as to whether a clearomizer can be used instead of an atomizer with the eroll.

What I want specifically is: a two-piece setup (battery & clearo), and it must be an auto.
I don't want separate atomizers to clean/replace etc, I prefer to just use a clearo till it dies and toss it. I know the eroll comes with atomizers, but my question is do I have to use them? In another thread I mentioned my preference of simple two-piece set ups and someone suggested the eroll, but I can't find any mention anywhere else of clearos with erolls.

The Eroll is proprietary... meaning you can't use other generic or branded parts with it. That would eliminate other clearos. There is no threading on an Eroll. Nothing screws on and it doesn't screw onto anything including the PCC case. Its made to be screw-free... just snap stuff on to assemble and lay it in the PCC still fully assembled and out fully assembled when ready to vape. You are right, the tank (juice container) and the atty are separate pieces in the Eroll rather than both one piece that has to be screwed onto the battery like other clearos and unscrewed to charge the battery. Personally, I find the Eroll much more fiddle-free once first setup because I don't like screw-fiddling... that sounds so weird but don't know another way to say it. I mean I don't like removing a clearo that screws on in order to charge the battery so, again, in that sense the Eroll is fiddle-free to me... just pop it fully assemble into the PCC to charge. Six of one, half dozen of the other I guess. I got the Eroll in order not to have to mess with the screwing anything on or off. Its more like smoking actually where you just take a smoke from the pack.... just take it out of the PCC and vape. That's one of the things I loved about it initially especially in public.

PS: sorry if this sounds incoherent.... I got interrupted 3 times while typing.

Here's a pic of the pieces of an eRoll. :) :vapor:

There are no other ways to use it, that I know of.

Thanks, that actually explained it very well. I'm still on the fence though I guess. You make a valid point, that even though there's more components they don't need taken apart often. I guess now I just need to research pricing and such to weigh against what I spend on my current set-up (which is insanely cheap as I get weeks of use from one clearo)
Can you tell me if there's much maintenance and or replacement involved with atomizers? I really have next to no experience with them. My 510's have them, but I used that set up maybe two days and never touched it again.

Cleaning them is very, very, easy but if you don't use a thick (high VG) or juice that's really dark in color then its not necessary to clean them much. I vape 70/30 clear light in color liquids and have gone a month without cleaning for instance and I'm not sure they needed it then actually. But, to clean, just microwave a cup of water unless you have hot enough water from the tap to produce steam. (I don't so microwave) Then just put the atty in the cup and let sit until its room temp... rinse off under the faucet... blow it out holding it in a paper towel until you see no more liquid coming out on the paper and that's it. A box of 5 attys will cost you about $22.00... less at rockymountainvapor with their code (posted on this sub-forum... the thread is obviously named for good deals) .... anyway... but they seem to last forever for me. Mine are six months old and still going strong. You'll see some recommendations here to take the atty apart and dry burn which I've done but really don't want to keep doing that as they're only costing me about 66 cents a month or less.... don't know what it will actually figure out to as none have died yet. The tanks (juice receptable) cost about $3.00 for a box of five and they last a long time too.... soo altogether $4.00 (without discount) for the atty plus 60 cents for the tank and that's about .76 a month or less. I used to use 510s and thought them economical but its turning out the Eroll is more economical for me. The cartos or clearos have to be replaced way more often... my experience only of course.

I think you've convinced me. I used 80/20 PG VG, clear, so I would probably get good mileage. Methinks I will take a look around on cyber-Monday and see what kind of deal I can get on a starter kit. I vape at my desk at work, so I really like the portability aspect. I have a PCC for my 808's but the ability to pop the cig in and out without breakdown would be a great plus. My office mates (all nonsmokers & nonvapers) are used to me fiddiling with my gear but I know they still think its weird, lol.

Kits are around $59.00 regularly (cignot, litecigusa, rockymountainvapor (discount code there makes it less... I think 20% less)) and include everything you need except on extra atty cone... make sure you buy one extra. Everyone complains about that but that's the way it is. :)

Ok, I took the plunge...AND apparently the newer kits come with two cones, at least the one I just ordered from RMV does! So with 25% off sale and free priority shipping I got the whole thing for $45

Well done! I ordered from RMV and had a fine experience. (Only 20% off, so $48.)

By the way, I don't know what you vape at work, but I find the eRoll to produce so much vapor that it could be distracting to nonvapers...I have to put forth an effort to avoid clouding up the whole room.

I work in a hospital, but before you faint, its ok, Im in an office in a 3rd floor annex way at the back, we do all our work on the phones, so no patients or other employees see me, other than the 4 other girls who work in there. We're pretty well spread out in our own little corners and they're all fine with it.

Oh, I forgot... yes, RMV does throw in a second cone. They always have. Very thoughtful vendor and why they have gotten my business so long. When I used 510s, they threw in a Mega size PCC with my first order.... felt like Christmas!
