Received my black VT today, so far very impressed....shipping was fantastic, ordered 1 AM Sunday into Monday, received today, Thursday, Hawaii to Pennsylvania. I was only able to run home and grab it on my break at work so I wont be able to play with the temperature stuff until later tonight, but I really enjoy everything about it so far even in plain power mode.

A question on the hard screen protector mentioned in this thread, what's underneath it? I ask because the upper part of my screen seemed to be loose and able to be pushed in then pops out slightly by itself. Nothing crazy, but enough to have gotten me worried upon first inspection.

2 days and your at half, it will probably be almost 4 days for you then

They probably improved the stepping of the indicator. The istuck was progressive. On istick First bar was like 20%, when you got to half way it went much quicker. This is probably more accurate.

Yeah, that was what I was thinking.

But with any new device, there is always that little voice in the back of your head whispering "it'll fail." Or, at least, in my depressive, schizophrenic mind. Thanks for making me feel better:D

Here is someone with a VT showing the mod dropping out of temp control mode.

The Ti wire he use looks very shiny to me (is it Ti?) also the coil wraps may contact each other but I'm not sure.

I would try n lock the device in Ti mode. Also the coil looks bad to me. I tried mine with the included Ni & Ti coils no issue. Been using my own nickle coils.

Anyone with their evic have a dripper they like for temp control? It seems hard to find a good single coil dripper with big airflow. Any recommendations out there?

I like the Veritas, Derringer and Hobo v3. None of these have the massive airflow of some of the quad-core RDAs. But we don't need the same amount of air for a single coil. Matching your preferred build to the right RDA is priceless. Good luck!

Yeah man, multiple coils touching.. People don't know how to make spaced coils very well.

"I don't know what I'm doing so I'll blame the device.."

    Its pretty common.

Not sure what was going on there though. Its was hard to tell when he did it the screen was partially blocked. We could not see the resistance change... So that video is a total fail.

Haven't tested it in vt mode but...

Flash e-vapor v2 or v3 clones. V2 comes with the dripper mode. V3 doesn't. Get both you have everything. Plus glass tanks available.

Great, excellent dripper air flow, up to 3.5mm. Its a dripper with a 5ml tank up top. Its been my adv for a year. Its pretty hard to beat IMO.

Got home about an hour ago, put in a Ni OCC coil, tried a few settings, settled on 500F at 30w for now. Hits nice, with great flavor. I guess I should order a couple boxes of Ni coils and some nickel wire for the RBA. The only negative I can think of is what am I supposed to do with all the regular coils I have?

Here is a pic side by side with the iStick 50, also with a subtank plus.

And a little comparison with a few of the most popular mods. VT 60 w/Subtank Plus, iStick 50 w/Subtank Plus, IPV mini II w/Herakles, MVP3 w/Subtank Mini, Sig 150 w/Maganus.

The Ti I use is shiny

I use spaced but some are having success with touching Ti with either pulsing or annealing with a torch first

I've tried pretty much all the new "flavor" rdas and keep going back to my Plume Veil. I also have a PV clone "Garry Mead" edition but pretty much any rda these days should be rock solid on res.

I Videoed myself and saw it was temp protecting well before hitting temp. Can't be a flow issue, as this tank us drinking the juice. Prob user error.
Mine appears to believe it is hotter than it is...
In TC mode, (w/ both Ni200 and ti stock heads) As soon as you hit the button, when the readout displays the current real-time temp,

I fire it cool and can see it starts out at like 300 degrees and within a second hits Protection mode.
So at 40w and TC set anywhere between 480 - 540, I fire the button and it hits protection within 1 second. Then, continuing to hold, the wattage output just drops like a stone. It does not turn itself on & off in order to maintain a certain temp.

Fire it... 1 second later power is dropped out... Within 3 or 4 seconds, the wattage display typically drops like this:
    40w
    31w
    23w
    11w
    9w
    7w

    Even weirder...
The VT Mega tank works fine on my M class.
And my ST Nano (Ni200 .15 ohm head) works fine on the eVic.

I've sent it back to Vape NW
