Regarding screen brightness. I have two Black/Red VT's. One T05022 and T05023, both with firmware version 1:18. Screen on the T05023 is much brighter than T05022

Same numbers here, except 5022 is my bright one...does it bother you too? I'd hate to return it and get one with issues...lol

So far I haven't had that happen, but it definitely can.
Actually both screens annoyed me, so I started running them in stealth mode. Once I did that, everything was great. If I need to check/change settings it's just a single click to turn that screen on. With
that being said, I've only used VW not TC. I finally got some ni200 in the mailbox, so I may be looking at the screeen a bit more with nickel builds
Mine are both in stealth and both running nickel. I don't bother checking them or making adjustments. .12 ohm, 480*F, 30W
You're welcome, I had to view the sequence four times to make sure because he whizzes through it very fast and doesn't even comment on the fact that it is dropping out of TP at a lower resistance than the manual specifies it will (1 ohm) - another mystery. I would try to replicate the scenario, but currently I'm trying to vape the unit under normal circumstances to test the battery life - I suspect the battery in my VT isn't up to par with what I have seen other users report.Thanks for the correction - I struck out that part of my post so no one gets misled.

Battery drops off full relatively quickly, however stays in midrange for LOOOOOOOOONG time. I've vaped it 3 days before charging, and I still had plenty left in it.
I have a white and a yellow. Same toggle switch, screen is same brightness but the back light is blue on the white and green on the yellow. No other differences I can detect.
Mine dropped out of TP once, but I'm sure it was my coil. I had the resistance locked so it appeared okay and I was surprised when it happened, so I tried to put it back in TP mode 2 or 3 times and each time it would jump to power mode as soon as I hit the fire button. Apparently the coil had jumped out of spec for TP to work. My other RDA coils have been solid and have never jumped out of TP in many hours of use.
Wow, and Tony got two days. Of course it all depends on setup, but here's my experience:
My fully charged unit, powered down with topper off for eight hours, already shows a 10-15% loss when powered back up before any vaping at all.
From fully charged to blinking battery, with the ego one mega Ti at 480f, 35w, resistance locked at 0.42 ohm and stealth function off I get
One day and three hours
272 puffs
1344 seconds (?) vaping time
didn't measure my juice consumption.
I think I got a sickly battery
I haven't noticed it either. I just attached my .67 ohm tank with a kanthal coil, put it on power and took my watts down to 8 watts. I don't feel or hear any power surge at all, not even for a split second.
Edit: I took the tank off and tried it again. This time I did get the power surge for a second. No big deal to me since I vape at 25 to 30 watts anyway. I don't see how a 1 second burst of higher wattage could burn someone's wick that fast, though.

I quickly grew tired of the Ego One Mega's poor wicking and went to RTA with titanium grade 1 wire.
I've been exclusively using 2 Cthulhus on my eVic, swapping between the two. The largest build I've used on either has been .32 ohms..... dual 9 wrap spaced coils 28 awg titanium 2.4 ID. The smallest I've used has been dual 5 wraps with the same wire and ID, at .2 ohms.

We have tried to burn out a number of different coil designs by repeatedly removing and refitting atomizers to an eVic VT, and although there is the odd crackle as the atomizer quickly warms up, we have not managed to cause any burning of coils or wicks in any atomizer we have tried"

Don't have my Evic yet, but if I can't use my favorite atomizer witch is running with a 1.2 ohm kanthal coil at 13 watt and it does boost to 30 watts for a second it would be really bad.
