I had the same problem with getting the ceramic clean on the cCell coils. It didn't seem to affect the flavor of those coils, even when I added menthol to my juice, so hopefully it's the same with these! :) I was going through a tank a day on the .6 coil for a while but I have backed way off since this coil is getting old and I didn't know when I would get my replacement coils. I did just get an email saying my coils from MVS have shipped, so YAY! No tracking yet, but I don't think it will be longer than a few days even with first class shipping. I hope I don't kill myself on a new .25 coil after having this .6 one in here so long, lol!

Haha- I just remembered you have the Arthur stabwood! How is that working for you?
The Penguin is pretty nice- alot nicer vape than I thought it would be! I think it is funny that they call these starter devices, because I have been vaping since 2014 and I appreciate how handy this is and how great this thing vapes! If hubby keeps using it I will get him the Black one, maybe a good sale for one on the 4th! When I won the contest I requested a black, but sent the white and I'll take my white back- right now I use the Nebox and love that too, I have been using that for over a year!
I am just glad to see him using something that he seems to like! I bought him the 5 pack of the .6Ω- the .25Ω were a bit much for him, but I like those coils better!

May I ask what ratio of pg/vg is he using with the .6 ohm coil?

30pg/70 vg - he likes MBV( Mt. Baker Vapor) Grape or Blueberry in 6nic. Very clear colored liquid , not super sweet.
Seems to work fine with the .6Ω coil. He is not a heavy vaper, and takes him days to get thru that tank!

I am still using my Arthur! :) The screen recently started flickering and I have no idea why. I didn't drop it and no juice got down inside it, so I will just keep using it until the screen dies I guess. Congratulations on winning the Penguin, by the way! I meant to say that after you first posted but I forgot. That's what I get for posting before coffee. :D I love my white Penguin. I can't believe how great the finish is on this mod. Not a scratch on it and it goes everywhere with me! I also think it's funny that this is being touted as a starter device. My first device was one of those little 200 mAh Ego pens, lol. This little Penguin is a great device for both newbies and experienced vapers. I hope you do get yours back and YAY for hubby finding something that works for him! I still can't get my husband to convert. :( Someday... :)

Hubby still dual uses! He will not give up cigarettes- he only vapes at work because it is a long walk to the smoking area! He was using the iStick 10w mini with the GSAir tank for almost 2 years and about 7 broken tanks, so this Penguin AIO is great for him! I have been using the Nebox for over a year for my AIO works great for me.
Sorry to hear about the Arthur- not sure what the flickering screen would be?
My 1st device was the Mistic Bridge Kits some Haus eliquids and cartridges! Worked to help me quit smoking!
Then onto the Kanger Evod 2 kit- used for about a week, hated that and those tanks!
Then onto the Joyetech eCabs- those are really nice and helped keep me cigarette free for many, many months!
Now I am into the Dual battery asMODus Minikin V1.5 and the V2, sub ohm tanks- haha!
The Penguin is just a great AIO- nice finish, lightweight, 8ml tank, and long life built in battery!
Just wish there was some kind of juice window

Out for delivery.
Hmm...my last update shows it arrived at the main Cleveland post office last night. Nothing since then. I am in a suburb. Usually, Cleveland gets it out to the suburbs early in the morning, so it can be delivered the same day. Not sure if I will see it today or tomorrow.

I've been looking at the Penguin for a while, but never really read up much on it. This week I started looking for a couple of cheap mods that I can take on vacation to FL with me and not worry about it if they get lost or damaged. I stopped by my local B&M yesterday and actually got to put one of these in my hand. It's a lot more solid than I expected. For some reason, just looking at the pictures I thought it would all be cheap plastic. Nope, the aluminum body feels nice and solid. So, I pulled the trigger on one last night. Anyone else who may be looking for them, VapeNW has them in stock for $22.99 right now. I also ordered a 5 pack of the .25 coils from MVS last night, and both orders shipped today.

If anyone is in the market and wants a good deal, check here.

Wow, that's quite a history! I stayed with the Egos for about a year, graduating up to the Spinner, and then graduated up to a Buzz Pro because it let me go all the way up to 6 watts, lol! I loved that thing, though. I sent it in for repairs (at $64 a pop) 3 times before I started experimenting with box mods. Got a couple of MPVs and that's what stated my shinyitis phase. I'm still in that phase, lol! Right now my main mods are the Penguin, the Alien and the Steampunk Nano. I like variety. :D I would love to get one of the Asmodus mods but I haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. I will eventually, but right now I am in my happy place with the mods I have in rotation. I never would have thought I would like a pod mod as much as I love the Penguin. I did miss the juice window at first, but I have become accustomed to just popping the cartridge out and checking it periodically, and topping it off when I charge it. It would be a very cool addition to a V2 of the Penguin, though. Maybe they can add it to the cartridge itself so they don't have to cut a window in the metal?

At least your hubby is willing to vape part time. I hope he eventually makes the switch completely. Vaping is just so much healthier than smoking, and it definitely smells better! :D

Having used a Penguin for about two weeks now, I've come to the conclusion that I just don't like the coils. The 0.25Ω are just to hot for me on a fully charged device. To me, it cooks the flavor out of my juice. The 0.6Ω coils are great, when they wick properly, which isn't often.
So.....I decided to rebuild the coils! You can carefully pry open the metal caps that secure the leads. One side folds down far enough to slide the coil out. I used 26g SS wire and made a 2.5mm diameter coil (I think there were between 8-10 wraps and bent the leads outwards like this. _0000_ Cut a 5-6mm strip of Koh Gen Do and split it to half thickness. Wrapped it around the coil a couple of times (until it was roughly the diameter that would slip back in to the housing). Slid it in and secured the metal caps back, making sure that each lead was clamped between the caps and housing. Pliers are needed to apply enough pressure to secure the caps back. Straightened out the coil inside the housing using the coiling tool I used. I don't know what resistance it ended up being but my guess is between 0.8Ω and 1.0Ω. The results are terrific!
- about the same draw as the 0.6Ω stock head.
- better flavor
- perfect wicking (so far).

Ok my first try with the penguin (.6), so far it's great. The flavor to me is also great, I gave it the chain vape test (until I was light headed), not a dry hit in the bunch. This is with 30pg/70vg and 3% distilled water, so far I'm impressed. If my opinion changes or I start having problems, I will repost.
