I've been struggling with my UFS ever since I got it. I've followed every instructional video and post I've read.

I screw the juice control all the way open, tighten the atty as far as it will go. Close the juice control as tight as possible, but there is still a tiny little gap so when I fill it with juice, it ALL leaks into the juice collector.

Meanwhile, no matter what combination of air flow or juice control I try (even both 'closed' completely - as completely as it will go since the juice control WON'T CLOSE all the way!) - I get gurgling and flooding, and a mouth full of juice! Every time!!

What's the deal? I'm not missing anything, I'm doing everything I'm supposed to... getting very frustrated with this thing and the amount of juice that's been wasted already.

Thanks Chinner, that's exactly what's going on with mine. I've tried 3 different 510 atomizers, 2 cartomizers and a CE2. No matter what, there is a tiny gap on the one side which causes the liquid to leak and the attys to flood.

I took some pics to show the gap.. I know it doesn't look like much, but it's enough to cause all the juice to leak out, and I use VG juice too!

510 atty, no gap:

510 atty, gap on opposite side:

CE2 atty, no gap:

Now what? UFS isn't being made anymore..... :(

What I don't understand is how that much juice even makes its way into the collector tank when there are 2 o-rings around the atty connector.

Well.. whatever, this sucks and I'm super bummed now.

If it is indeed a bad base cup or some defect of some sort, I'm sure Daniel/imeo can help you somehow, whether it be a replacement piece or a refund.

For the time being, why not try a LR carto or something, the filler makes the whole system very forgiving, and you should at least be able to use it without wasting juice until you find a solution.

Considering the price of these, I'd be upset too if I had problems, all I can say though is that when performing properly, it truly does blow every other tank system out of the water. Hope you get it resolved dude, good luck!

I don't feel like ordering more attys... I've never been a fan of cartos tbh, every single one I've tried tasted like burning filler. I have some Boge 3.0 here that's I've tried that people swear by and they taste disgusting. Regardless, doesn't matter what I stick in there, the juice will still leak.

I'd send Daniel an email, but it's not his fault and it's not like he has replacement parts, so I'm not sure if it's fair to leave this on him... maybe Imeo has spare parts? *crossing fingers*

Other than a replacement base cup, the only other solution I see is to have the one I have machined but yeah..... that's not gonna happen any time soon.... lol

Sorry to hear your troubles Nature. :( Do you know if it starts leaking as soon as you put the juice in? The only reason I ask is if it is leaking out before the unit is asembled and sealed, that is a problem.

One thing I have found to minimize leakage into the collector tank is to very slightly crack the top cup just a tad. This allows the pressure to equalize inside the UFS. If you get too much of a seal inside, the pressure will force the juice to the point of least resistence which seems to be around the atty connection.

In the v1 UFS, Imeo didn't use an O-ring on the top cup that I am aware of so the seal was not as total. Until I saw your post I had not thought about it in a while but that is just a step I go through when assembling the UFS after filling for use.

Sorry for the non-tech terminology but just wanted to offer the idea up as a possible solution. I am sure Zor or Para or one of the true tech types can explain it much better but if it prevents the leakage and flooding, doesn't matter what you term it as. :)

Good luck and let us know how it goes please!

If Daniel doesn't have a replacement part, pm Imeo - he will take care of all GG users. He would send the part on next shipment. All will be well, not to worry. Imeo said before in another thread, parts would be available for discontinued items. I have an Iatty and UFS 1 and do not worry about getting parts if needed.

From the pictures it looks like you have it on your GGTS when you put it together. If you do, loosen the telescope before putting in the atty, if the battery is already tight (and therefore the pin pushed up) it won't seal properly.
It's not on anything.

UPDATE!

Para, I just received the parts today that you sent me. I first swapped the cups, and there was still a gap, but less than the other one. However, I noticed the juice control was MUCH easier to screw open and closed (mine was VERY stiff, even when lubed).

So I then swapped the center post part (not sure what it's called) and immediately noticed a difference in fit. Everything lined up as they should.

Filled it with a bit of juice........ WOW!!!! NOW I see what people are talking about!! This thing vapes VERY well now.

When the juice is finished (I didn't fill too much in it), I'll swap the cup back with mine and see if the center post part was the culprit, or if it was both parts.. but I can say right now that with those two parts swapped, everything is working perfectly and is MUCH easier to open and close.

Huge thanks Para for sending me these parts.. I had no idea what I was missing with the UFS until today. Big thanks to Imeo as well for working this out with the both of us. Once I test out the cup again, I'll report back and you can tell me what you want me to do with the defective part(s).

Cheers! :)
