According to Wikipedia, a seal coating above the anodized aluminum layer can help prevent cracking caused by changes in temperature.

I really want this thing, but I must admit that I am wary of aluminum, anodized or not, in contact with things I consume. Likewise mentioning "FDA approved" does not do much to make me feel better. Those .......s would approve rat poison in baby food and ban the cure for cancer just to help special interests.

Eggs anyone?

Heavy or not, I'd still be for stainless. After all, that little P16 ain't light anyway. So, who cares? You can do curls with it.

You'll be happy to know that this doesn't utilize an aluminum holding tank for the juice:)

Thank you very much David. That was exactly the clarification that I needed.

Jimho, the earlier post you pointed at, which I really had read, was somewhat vague and I could not tell whether it was going to sit in anodized aluminum or not because it said "At the very minimum the aluminum should be anodized aluminum, and better yet, not have the juice sit in an aluminum holding tank period would be ideal."

So, now I know it is the latter and can order when the time comes.

I hope it's a top feeder too! I hate bottom feeders! We'll see soon!

Sent from my Droid

"Top" feeder, yes.

I prototyped two bottom feeder designs and i found that since the juice enters from the bottom and then is heated, it can easily be drawn back down into the bottle/tank and contaminate it as When i squeezed the plastic bottle and released it, it created vacuum and sucks back some juice into the bottle, not to mention, gravity aides it. Another one of my bottom feed designs utilizing the S6's adjustable draw and an intersecting passage for juice worked alright, but it created excessive gurgling sound as air and liquid were mixed and then sucked into the bottom of the atomizer through a passage and up through the center post. Both designs i decided weren't really suitable for the masses.

With my top feed design, once the juice clears the feeder, it has no realistic way to get back into the feeder and reservoir, thus keeping your Juice contaminate free.

Yeah- I kind of read between the lines and figured he wouldn't have said the ideal part without a "But" if it wasn't something he already thought of and designed for;-)

MrD, I think it's a bottom feeder, that's where the 1/2 inch comes in. You screw it to the batty and then screw the atty into it. Somehow the tank is attached, just a guess.

i'm thinking that the 1/2 inch is the attachment feeding/drip tip. but than i presume that the tank would surround the atty. but David said that theres no liquid surrounding the atty exterior
show it to us so i put an end to my stupid guessing marathon!! :p

somewhere out there......
hmmm I wounder if a mini 801 2ohm attie will work in the feeder with a 510 to 801 adapter? sence the juice feeder is a top feeder... I'm loving these LR mini 801 atties... the flavor and vapor is unbelievable...... probably not because im betting the gap would be to small for the width of the 801 attie... either way I'll take 1....:)
