All good info. The only note I'll add is how MUCH homebrew you end up with after a few cooking experiments! Oh my. I have enough to last a lifetime, sealed in Bell fruit jars and kept in the refrigerator. Not much is used when combined with VG, Bickford and e-liquid, so it lasts a long, long time.

I actually dumped down the sink many of my first attempts that didn't produce a good taste.

Lol- it's easy enough to cook down Karen- takes only abotu 20 minutes or so- I know TB uses a quite small pot with lid, but I just simmer mine in a small but larger pot than TB as I don't have a really small pot to cook in- I just stick it on stove, come out ot computer while it simmers- check it a few times to see if htere's enough water still (only use a small amount of water so as it'll be denser consistency when it cooks down), and then strain it out and refridgerate it- very simple to do- and I shoudl know because I can't even cook an egg right lol

I've done multiple re-cooks, but we just have no way of knowing the nic content, so what's the point? I wish for a magic strip I could dampen with the fluid and it would read 15mg or something. But I have no idea how much nicotine I cook out.

Someone suggested evaporating more water, to create a denser viscosity, more syrup like. That seems like a sure atomizer killer to me. I aim for a consistency only slightly denser than water, but definitely not thick and syrupy. Just my take.

I'm not TB - but I say go for it and let us know how it turns out.

i so would, i'm just not big in the snus world and I have no idea which one to pick. looks like 3 different brands. you think the more expensive one is the best brand? lol ...

p.s. -- i didn't even know what snus was until TB started talking about it. lol

I think eventually it will be found by somebody here.

probably ... been searching long and hard. i was about to buy some quest cigarettes, destroy them, then cook them up ... i still may do this ... we'll see.

in the meantime, this is what I found on one of the brand Onico ...

www.buysnus.com said:
Onico looks like snus, smells and tastes like snus and gives the same feeling under the lip. But it’s not a snus. The portions contain no tobacco or nicotine.

Onico is for snuffers that want to cut down on their nicotine consumption, says Mikael Arnebert Director Information & Public Affairs North Europe Division. With Onico the snus users can replace one or several of their ordinary portions with a tobacco and nicotine free alternative.

Onico, a tobacco and nicotine free alternative to snus. Onico consists of vegetable fiber portions, flavored with aromas that imitates tobacco and peppermint taste.

Three variants has been introduced, Onico White Large, Onico Pepparmint White Large and then Onico White Mini.

The product name Onico stands for "Zero Nicotine".

I think the result will be disappointing. Cans of Onico, etc., are not popular with snusers.

Using tobacco snus would probably be as bad as when I used nasal snuff (stunk up the house something awful).

The non-tobacco snus PROBABLY have all kinds of sweeteners and additives that you don't want. That's why I use just burly pipe tobacco. It's (Carter Hall) cheap. Its smells good cooking. And it tastes good smoking. I have yet, however, to get a powerful tobacco taste from it when I mix it with other fluids. I want a hint of tobacco, but Bickford flavor and sweet glycerine overwhelm the juice. I'm still working on it.

Jamie- it will dilute hte Glycerin, but not by much- there will still be more than thestandard amount in the mix- comercial eliquid in Cartridges contain appr. 4-7% Glycerin, adding more will jump thta up quite a bit, so diluting it some with flaoring will still result in more Glycerin than standard mixtures
Thanks Naz.
