One thing I always wondered about is if a juice steeps in a clearo or tank?

I tend to use CE3's and when testing new juice I fill one and vape a few puffs every day or so. I find that juices taste different to me from day to day or depending on what I just vaped or ate, so this allows me to test over time and under different conditions. This can span a couple of weeks before the CE3 is finished, so I was interested in your thoughts if sitting in the clearo will have the juice steep like it would sitting in a bottle.

While not the exact same same circumstances, a juice should steep while in a clearomizer as well. I would guess that the steeping process would actually be sped up due to the addition of heat from the coil which would cause the oxidation to occur more rapidly. Also, a clearo is not airtight, like a bottle so I think this could fall closer to steeping with the lid off than on. The color clearo you're using my be factor in the speed at which the process occurs as well, although I can't be certain of that part. Excellent question, by the way.

I'm certainly not sure of this information, but I would call it an educated guess. If someone with more of a chemical background wants to step in to correct or reinforce this information, it would certainly be appreciated.

There is definately no reason that a reaction occuring in a bottle won't occur in a clearo. Also agreed, the clearo will provide heat and oxygen moreso than a bottle will. I don't know exactly how that would effect the steeping process, but surely it will at least speed some of the reactions up.

One thing to consider is that in a clearo, as you vape it, it may possibly be absorded by the wick at different rates, as well as evaporate from the heat. I've already noticed when using a clearo that my liquid changes viscosity, often color, and taste as it nears the empty point. I've had some liquids that seem to do this much more than others, and I don't know that a steeped liquid vs an unsteeped would make a lot of difference in how it reacts to being consumed in a clearo.

thank you for all this info and here i thought of steeping like bbq chicken --- you mix the bbq sauce and the chicken and let it sit overnight for the flavor to get all through the chicken --- steeping just takes a li'l longer

and i love your reviews --- do not need to know if you like just need to know how true the taste --- do not want "if you like this then you might like this" thing either as that is also subjective

i even do not mind if you cannot identify all that is in a blend --- it is good to know that even a chef's palate can be mystified

thank you for your hard work it has made my introduction to vaping that much easier -- i also want to note that after only a few weeks of vaping i am noticing the undertones more in flavors as my taste buds slowly return -- the blends i have are from a friend and over a month old so the seeping is pretty much done lol

now all i need for true heaven is a potato chip blend but i notice savory flavors are few and far between -- will be trying a pizza blend soon and a bacon one too

i really think you should have a warning of tastes changing the further away you are from analogue cigarettes

anyway i have bookmarked your site and look forward to many more reviews

Just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for the recent kind words and feedback.

Also wanted to let everyone know we are aware of the problem with the PayPal "Pay it Forward" Donate button in the top portion of the sidebar. If you do wish to make a donation to help keep the site up and running (site maintenance, juice, my programmer, etc), and the donate button isn't working for you, try a different browser. Chrome seems to be the best bet right now. My advanced programming guy is aware of the problem and working on it as we speak, so it will work in other browsers, hopefully as soon tonight.

I think I may have to order the bottle of Sweet Surrender from Ahlusions this week. Your review has convinced me I NEED to try that one!

That's another one you certainly won't be sorry about. Their juice is a little bit pricier than some other companies, but from the ones I've tasted, it's well worth it. They're really doing spectacular work.

YES...If you're going with the Sweet Surrender already, the Pralines and Cream is also beyond spectacular. It's a bit on the sweet side, but ridiculously tasty. I have one other of theirs, but I can't recall what it is and it's literally buried underneath 100 bottles and locked up in the safe until the kiddo goes to sleep.

Awesome work what a great idea and I will be bookmarking and vistiting often. Thanks for doing this :)

Thanks for the kind words.

Just a quick update for everyone...we were having some problems with slow page load times and FTPing new updates and reviews to the server. Everything appears to be fixed at this point, including the previous issue with the paypal donate button. So, you can expect a few new reviews to be posted very shortly, including some new vendors. Thanks for dropping by and taking a look.

Again, the website is intended to be a valuable resource for us, as a community, so any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Check out the wattage chart linked on vaporrator website. It is on the home page in the lower right in my browser.

Varrius is right...the wattage chart, made by one of the guys over on the ecig subreddit, is a spectacular jumping off point. A general rule of thumb is to start around 8 watts, but that's very vague as every juice is different. Some are better at 10-11 watts, and some taste burnt at 7.5 watts. You can always use an Ω's law calculator to figure out where you're at, as long as you know the exact resistance of your atty.

When I write reviews, I usually start at 6.5 watts or so and begin working my up until find the sweet spot. I then write the review at that voltage. So, if you're vaping a juice I've reviewed and not getting the same flavors as I did, try adjusting your voltage and see what you get. All the newer reviews include the sweet spot wattage, and I plan to go back to the older reviews and edit it in. That's for all the bottles I haven't given away or polished off on my own, anyhow.

Agreed, I can't wait to see what he has to say about some of the really hard to describe juice, like Boba's and Gandalf. :)

Yeah...I thought I would get to those when I made some headway into the box of waiting to be reviewed juice, but even at two reviews a day (hopefully I'll get some of those posted tonight!) the mountain of juice just keeps getting larger with new submissions coming in at a ridiculous rate...like 27 new bottles in the last 6 days. I'll make a point to just buy those two early next week. I hate to be that guy who only orders a single bottle from a vendor, but thats the way it's going to have to go this time around. Too many people want to see those reviews, so I'll get on it. Someone remind me (I'm looking at you gthompson) on Monday to place those orders. This would be a great time for someone to donate...say, the cost of 20ml of juice, using the "pay it forward" paypal button in the upper right-hand corner of the sidebar.
