Sorry it took me so long to comment on the above...I am happy to discuss it.
When I first started the website, I paid for all the juice I reviewed, which was somewhere in the vicinity of 75 bottles most of which were 10ml bottles of "gourmet" juice. In addition to $$ spent on juice, is cost of the website itself. This entails the building of the site...you may not have noticed, but this is not a wordpress or some other pre-built format...it was painstakingly built from the scratch over the course of many, many hours. Then there are the special functions like the search and newsletter features. For that I had to pay a programmer since I don't know how to code that stuff.
We're not going to discuss specific numbers, but suffice it to say, none of that is cheap, and we still haven't mentioned hosting the site, or the cost of my video reviews, which are shot and edited professionally. Could I have saved money and cut corners? Of course...but the point of this website is serve the vaping community with information that is useful, informative and honest. I don't cut corners.
Do I receive juice free of charge? I do now, but not all of it (I spent $50 on juice to review this week alone), and it never effects the outcome of the review. Any juice that's submitted for review receives the same treatment as the juice I pay for, and a good percentage of the submitted juice has received low scores. While I can't speak for other reviewers, I will not compromise my integrity, or the integrity of the site for a few milliliters of e-juice, and I'm a bit insulted that anyone would ever think I would.
While I appreciate your offer to send me juice, I won't review a juice unless it comes directly from the vendor, or is unopened and has a born-on date. If you have juice that meets those criteria that you would like to donate, it would certainly be appreciated.
The fact is, I have spent well into the 4 figure range on this website since it began and my total revenue since launch hasn't exceeded $60...if you choose to distrust my reviews because I accept juice submissions from vendors, I can't prevent you from doing so, but at least have all the facts before you form that opinion. As far as ads go, I would love to run ads from hardware makers exclusively, but beggars can't be choosers. The fact remains that as a whole, the chances of the website ever operating in the black are pretty slim, something I expected and accepted from the beginning, but this is my way to PIF to a community that has helped to save my life and has the potential to save the lives of millions.
