What juice? Do tell!!!
And a cup of hot water...duh, why didn't I think of that?!

p.s. I won a contest, and I get $50 of juice from any vendor. I think I am going to try Copper Creek. Or any other suggestions?

Try Cooper Creek! It sounds to me a little like Bounty Hunter, so you like that- you might really like it. Or try some juice from KBV. The only juice I've gotten from there is pinapple shake and it was good. Sorta sweet but if you like sweet, you'll probably like their juice.

I tried this juice and love it! OMG, it's cheap and very refreshing.

Does anyone know if steeping will help Halo's smooth 8 from tasting like licking the walls of a 400 year old tibetan monestary.

The first time I tried Halo juice I hated it. It just had a very medicinal taste to me. I just gagged and threw it in a box. I was giving some juice to a friend and had a filled carto and tried it again and liked it. Either my taste buds changed or steeping did wonders for the juice. The medicinal taste was gone and there were tons of great flavors. I can kick myself for giving so much of it away. Mine was the Truepue and another one - forget the name- it wasn't Smooth 8. But put it away and let it steep. It might not get better, but it might.

I havn't really gotten any medicinal tastes out of any of the other juices of theirs I've tried. The Tribeca is epic. Captain Jack is one of the most delicious juices I've vaped so far. The regular tobacco's are pretty tasty. I just don't know if this batch is too new or when they were engineering it the only guy who showed up in the test group that day was an old acid head from way back who associated more with being a banana than a human and enjoyed eating raw boot leather. It just really tastes like breathing in raw incense.

Heheh, you were right. I nuked a plastic bottle for 10 seconds, and it sort of imploded

Glad you tried it first! lol :p

Nah ... I wouldn't trust any of these plastic bottles. Mine were glass bottles, and I should also note the labels were metallic so I should have taken them off.

I am glad the heating process did work however. Thinking back, I could have saved a bunch of other juices this way.

My policy on steeping is this: If it's not what I expected when I get it, I put it in a box in the dark. If it is, I vape it. A week or two later, I'll get it out and try it. If it's still not good, it probably won't get much better.

I never throw away juice. A waffle flavor I ordered once tasted more like the box the waffles would come in. A few months later, it wasn't bad at all and I vaped it to the bottom of the bottle while waiting for some good stuff.

Uh, actually the juice tasted the same after nuking. Just as bad!

I've been wondering for a while why some juice needs to be steeped, while others do not. At first I thought it was because of the freshness of the product, but I can't imagine that to be the only reason. Some juices I get freshly made don't need to be steeped at all.

I can't put my finger on it. Is it specific flavors? Is it tobacco based flavors, and if so, why? What actually happens during the steeping process? (other than obviously letting it sit for a while).

Also ... are there any industry guidelines as to how long a juice's shelf life is? Is there, or should there be, a "use prior to X date for best results"?

Steeping is just like marinating when your preparing something to cook - gotta give time for the flavor to spread through the product.
