Just a few questions for people who have switched from tobacco to vape

I'm considering joining the new vaping experience, but as all previous tobacco smokers know, you tend to have some breathing problems/lung burn while doing physical activities. For anyone that has had problems like that, has vaping helped your breathing habits in anyway?

I know my question may seem a little vague, but some of you may know what I'm asking.

Hi, I've been vaping for almost 3 months, quit on my very first vape. I no longer use my inhaler, (coughed for about 2 weeks clearing my lungs).

My voice is back, use to be rather raspy, I can walk with out gasping for air, and my doctor is recommending vaping to all of her patients that can't seem to quit any other way.

Just an added benefit, I lost 7 pounds and my blood pressure is down.

The cough is GONE!!! :) That and no more shortness of breath on the least amount of exertion. I can smell again! I can taste again!! All the little things that you have lost that you really don't think about when you smoke! I can swim without feeling like the water is suffocating me! Now, if I could just lose the weight like thetout did!! :)

Absolutely. I have much more lung capacity, and my breathing/heart rate recovery after physical exertion has dramatically improved as well.

Definately! The first month I coughed so much crap outta my lungs it was disgusting. Luckily someone told me this could happen, because some of the stuff was quite scary looking.

Aftrer week 3-4 it was like someone placed oxygen in the air for me! I wasnt doing my deep "sighing" breaths after walking up 2 flights of stairs. My chest wasnt pounding when mowing the lawn.

Now at week 12, I can really goof off with my great danes until THEY start panting.

I went to the doctor for a checkup and my MD was shocked at my lung sounds - and he asked me (I didnt offer) if I had quit smoking, and he took me off of my blood-pressure medication. We'll see how that goes.

The one thing that really stands out for me is my "sinus problems" have disappeared. I was taking all kinds of anti-histimaines etc for years. My nose now feels normal!

And to think I started vaping as a suppliment to smoking analogs - never thought I would quit.

Thank you for your hasty responses, I will definitely pick up a e-cig as soon as I have the funds to do so. Lately tobacco has been severely hindering my physical performance and this seems like the best alternative EVER to quitting the cancer sticks. Any tips on where I can find the cheapest buy for a decent brand?

cignot.com sells a "no box" Joye 510 kit for $35.

My health issues were the main reason I have tried to quit cigarettes for so many years (without any success on patches, gum, lozenges, drugs, acupuncture, hypnosis or therapy). The e-cig was easy, and it worked!

The improvements to my health have been huge:
---no more sinus infections
---easier to breath
---no more hoarseness
---no more wheezing
---I can hold my breath about 3 times longer than before (very important to me since I love to swim, and I sing in a choir)
---I can actually jog/run now where before I couldn't even walk down the block without getting winded. I can now play with my dog a lot longer than before, too.

And other benefits:
---I can smell and taste everything better
---I no longer smell like an ashtray
---I no longer contribute cigarette butts to the landfill
---I no longer burn furniture, carpet, clothing, or myself

Go for it -- it's truly worth it. :)

P.S. I don't want to start a war over which model is the best or the cheapest, but if you want ease of use and convenience, check out the 2-piece KR808D-1. I got tired of the filling/dripping/dropping stuff, so I'm grateful to the 901 for getting me off the analogs, but I switched so I could use the pre-filled cartomizers. See my signature or just browse the suppliers subforums to see what their customers are saying. Several places sell these - Vapor4Life, Nhaler, Eastmall, etc.

Hi, Brisk18 and welcome :)..for years I've had a rattle going on in my chest as well as congestion and burning during heavy exertion. Within days of switching to PV only the rattle was gone. Now, after a couple months my lung capacity seems caparable to that of probably 25 years ago. Can't remember for sure, but that's when I first noticed the diminished capacity and burning :).

Since I started vaping...

--I have made many more babies
--The sun shines brighter even when raining
--I no longer get drops of tomato sauce on my shirt when eating spaghetti
--Little birds sit on my shoulder
--Older women whistle at me as I walk past
--The government refuses to accept any income tax from me
--Global warming is seriously contemplating backing off a bit
--I no longer need reservations at my favorite restaurant
--My car can go about 25mph faster than before and gets better gas mileage
--Dust no longer settles on any of my furniture
--I no longer get a electronic voice prompt when I call my bank
--I never hit a red light
--I can make any oragami in three folds or less
--And Chuck Norris now admits he is my *****

But yeah, seriously, everything all of them above me said.
:)

Ive only been vaping for a week now. Within the first few days the waking up and coughing/gagging for two hours was gone. My sinuses are clearing and I've yet to have any of my three-day-headaches. I'm waiting/hoping for the better lung capacity.

Oh yeah.... there is nothing for anyone to do but stop smoking and start vaping asap! I even recommend it to my enemies.

A lot of this depends on your smoking habits.
How long have you been smoking?
How many cigarettes per day?
Strong, lite?
any other information will be helpful.

I never had asthma or anything like that. At most I'd get shortness of breath after doing some serious exercise. I used to be a pack a day smoker of Marlboro 100's and started when I was 13 (I'm 36 now). I've been off analogs for about 2 months now and I can tell you I do notice a huuuuge difference. I don't get short of breath as much and I used to "wheeze" when I would go to sleep. No more wheezing :)

I know my question may seem a little vague, but some of you may know what I'm asking.

Umm....let me see. Absolutely, unequivocally YES!! Picture the benefits of not smoking with the satisfaction of smoking! Breathe better, smell better, taste better, no cough, no phlem, no offending non-smokers (unless they just assume your smoking), no ashes, no butts, no yellow staining! Do I sound like I sell these things yet? I don't.

Cignot.com is the way to go! $35 kit is fantastic for discovering if it's for you however I recommend the $65 kit if you want to have sufficient supplies to last you until you can receive more liquid. (not to mention you save like $10).

And I'm pretty sure ALL OF US knew exactly what you were asking!

Congratulations on what you've been fortunate enough to discover!
The key to this by the way is knowledge, so while your waiting for your starter kit...learn...learn...learn. It's as easy as filling a zippo if you know how but if you don't you can become quite irritated. If you go with the 510 I recommend viewing these videos (as I'm getting sick of posting the info that's contained within them) Video : InnoVapor, The Finest in Personal Vaporizers
(I really need to show them some love and order something from them just for being cool enough to have posted those on their site)

Yes, You can expect a dramatic increase in your breathing abilities and less shortness of breath after a short time. Mine improved within a month.

I use my inhaler much less. Almost not at all.. If you have asthma Id suggest keeping your inhaler.

i have asthma as well and have been smoking since high school. im so glad i found the e-cig bcuz it has improved my breathing dramatically :D
