Just Bought An Ultrasonic Cleaner - Looking for Help

Hey All,

I just bought this: Sonic Wave Ultrasonic Jewelry Eyeglass Cleaner CD 2800 | eBay

It looks like a basic cleaner with on/off. So I need some help! I did not see the ability to program cycles.

How much should I fill out of the 1 possible pint?
What should I use to clean tanks? A guy who works next door says he uses cheap vodka.
How do I steep liquids with it? One of the main reasons I bought it was for the capability to steep some of my juices with it.

I looked at it and I guess you just turn it on and it will shut itself off after 3 minutes. No heater apparently so you will have to put hot water in it.

there are videos on You Tube... I watched a few just type it in what u are looking for... found one on the cleaning and the steeping, not home right now or I would link them.

Be careful with the ultra sound, I got one for coils, if I left them in too long the plating would start to come off the coils.

Orange cleaner mixed with water to the fill line
3-5 cycles with all parts separated before cleaning
Rinse well in warm water before assembly

I just fill to over the level of whatever clearo and coils I'm cleaning and run it for a few minutes, Viola! Clean stuff.
Tried using it to mix my home brew ejuice...not impressed.

There really is no reason to use that to steep, e-juices start to steep the minute they are mixed and will continue to do so until they are gone.

You want to use distilled/purified water. Fill it just enough to cover your tank.
I'm not sure I would use any type of chemical cleaner, maybe a drop or two of mild soap.

Using vodka for cleaning is alcohol abuse unless you are trying to clean your stomach by drinking.

where are you getting your coils??? Ive never seen coils that were plated....

use tap water for light cleaning..... ( because when you rinse it your most likely gonna use tap water).. for heavy cleaning, add a touch of "Orange Cleaner" to the tank.

the unit you have seems to have an Auto off after 3 minutes...

Don't waste your time with this UC. The 3 minute cycle is crippling.

I do 3hr-4hr Warm water UC in 30 minute cycles, shaking at each restart. Takes about 1 week off time.
