I'd love to say it's not a big deal for me either... But when I buy a GG product I expect it to work with everything, sorry about the drama but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's a little bit disappointed with that.

I used a thread file on one of my Oddy basses long ago to get it to screw all the way down on GGTS. I think the pitch was 1.5. If you have never used a thread file I would not recommend trying on your Oddy base unless you are slow and careful. It is possible to scratch it if you get aggressive with thread file.
My Oddy bases both screw flush into JGG brass and SS.

It's not the oddy bases .... all of them fits nicely on all my GGTS. It's the threads of the CT on the JustGG.
When screwing the Oddy bases onto the CT, after exactly 3 full turns, you feel the resistance, and can't go on.

Guys, I didnt make Ody's GGTS base to fit on justGG. Only Ithaka fits there or Ody with Ithaka's base. Anyway, if you like to have your Ody fit on justGG with its own base and not Ithaka's base, I can make Ody bases and send them to you at half of my cost, that is very cheap. But why dont you try Ithaka's base on Ody? Its a so easy solution

Are you serious!!! Because we should not have to move our bases from one atty to another atty. It's weird I tell you because since some fit perfect ~ why not all. Even the ones that don't care ~ I am certain that they expected to be able to fit any GG atty without 510 on JGG. That's what makes GG so unique and special.

The reason that all bases fit on GGTS doesnt mean anything because they will fit even if they are loosy or tight. What I see here is that loosy Ody bases fit when Ody bases mustnt fit in general

Anyway, as I said, I can make bases and send them to you at only 3 euros just to please all Ody users. That way you can have your shorter justGG exactly as I design it and your Ody fit on it too

Thanks Imeo, but honestly I'd rather have a brass CT that work with iAtty, Oddy and Ithaka instead of just the base of one of them.

I was going to say maybe an issue with the Brass CT ~ but all the CT are really the same except for the added Brass CT AC ring ~ Guts, I have same with the CT that came on my Brass JGG for some reason.

And for anyone interested and if not already mentioned, here is a pic of just gg with ithaka and 2 stacked 18350 in full compound mode. To do this I just removed the firing pin in CT and adjusted ithakas center pin down for a solid contact, works perfect and looks perfect

inside my CT's the threads stop exactly at the top of my slot for air control, does everyone having issues have threads that go down that far? ithakas base only has 2-3 threads on it where as my ody base has 3-4. also cleaning the CT well might help, some small left over piece of metal from machining could be acting as a wedge preventing from screwing all the way down, also dirty ody threads may make it difficult too.

1mm gap with my ody native ggts bases. i also have no way to measure the length of the threads. i was enjoying the ithaka so much on the jgg that i never even tried anything elseLOL

i will say the floating pin design of the new 510 cap is simply brilliant. the oddy never has hit so hard , even better that the old 510 gg only adapter that i have on my other ggts's.

i am really falling in love with the JGG.

im seeing a future that will require ONLY the JGG and a few atties in my travel bag. bringing extra devices might become a thing of the past.

the new spring loaded post AND the floating collection tank post AND the floating 510 post AND the telescope is really amazing. every device sort of, for lack of a technical term, floats into contact with each other. without adjusting the pin length on any of the atties.

we defiantly didn't have this in the past!

i new i should have ordered 2! LOL

Hmmm... I have 2 JGG's ~ same Ody fits one CT but not the other ~ that means CT is different from each other not the Ody base.
