just great buddy, that what I was looking for. A reaction like this from a guy that is difficult to be pleased! My kind regards to your wife and have a happy vapinggg time

THANK YOU IMEO :) you did a great job my friend
That was my daughter in the background, kept wanting to hold the JGG and I kept giving her a stern look lol bless her lol

Imeo, although my Ody doesn't sit flush on JGG, it ain't really bothering me as the air control ring is always fully open and you can't see the gap and looks flush.

Day 2 with JGG in hand... and there is something I don't understand:
regarding the Venting Cap/Axis assembly... what is the SS collar for? Watching Imeo's video, it appears to insulate the outer axis to ensure current only travels through the inner-axis-and-spring. OK I get that, but the SS collar increases axis diameter at the top. If one wishes to adjust a short throw (as I do), the SS collar at the top of the axis blocks the venting cap from unscrewing in a straight line. Basically if the button assembly is installed (with short throw), then it's not possible to screw/unscrew the venting cap.

Not trying to complain, just wondering if I'm missing something. My understanding is that the SS collar must be in place to direct current through the spring as a safety feature, which could be bypassed when the collar is taken away. Am I expecting too short of a throw?

All-in-all I am very pleased with Just GG, and it's exciting to have the latest GG design, different from my other GG's. My Oddyseus GGTS bases all screw in flush, no problem, and using an 18490 with one extension ring is quite a nice size/weight, and I enjoy hiding the tele-tube. The upper electrical assembly to the atomizer is much better than the long floating pin of GGTS. Thanks Imeo for your innovations, and thanks to Bruce for setting us up on this side of the pond.

Good question...

My opinion on justGG. The mod hits VERY well. I like the "flexibility inside" the mod. It's not just the outside look, but it's what's under the hood that takes part in impressing me. The bottom cap is a nice contrast to earlier, the ability to have all batteries hidden without tele showing when that's what you seek, the adjustable heights inside, etc. The connections hit really well. And the ac ring - it's nice to have one mod where you can just make a 2 finger adjustment. I'll add that the 510 lid is an awesome addition as well. But since I'm testing another Ithaka build on it, and HOPE to keep Ithaka on it, the 510 lid can go to an older GGTS since I don't have any GG adapters and won't use Chinese. I didn't care for the engraving direction, but it does grow on you....especially if Ithaka is on top. I DO love the fact that if the CT needs a clean out, it's a simple push of the insides and your ready to wipe it down.

Ok. The praises are done. but....BUT..... There is something to be said for the "old school" GGTS. For example, I look at my #605 and mount an atty, take a pull, and smile when THAT hits nice and hard. The older engravings and the direction of them, not as deep, but definitely more elegant, etc. Use in GG mode, carry the 510 lid from JGG over to use 510 mode and STILL hits hard.

JGG is a great mod.... I'm still old school. And I do still like the tele tube.

if you want to unscrew the venting cap when button is in short mode you unscrew the button too

I installed Magnets in my switch and it's super smooth. The only issue is that it keeps coming unscrewed inside. Is this because of the lack of tension from the spring?

The pin of the button is unscrewed from the head of the button?

you have to tighten it more, I do it with this hexagonal tools (to hold the pin of the button) and with rubber gloves to hold the head of the button.

There is one that perfectly fits on the pin of the button.

Remove the vent cap and with a small needle nose plier just grip the bottom part that makes contact with the battery ~ now you will be able to better tighten the button.

What I find interesting about the justGG is that, while it is a very complicated piece of engineering, it is extremely easy to use. From all the videos of the justGG and older devices, everything looked too customizable and complicated. The real-world experience is nothing like this. once you figure out your preferences, it is an effortless experience.

I spent more time polishing the brass than I did setting it up when I first received it.

Those watching the videos thinking they prefer something that is easier to use, should not be scared off. You really can make it as simple or as complicated as you want.

I have some magnets generously donated by xtreme101. Quick question: why would one replace the spring with magnets? Is it smoother? Does it improve durability?

i had magnets on all of my gg mods at one point in time and now i have gone back to the spring. personally i couldnt tell the difference at all. and being an electrician, i cut and drill metal daily and the shavings would get on my hands and clothes and end up stuck to the switch housing, those magnets are powerful given their size.

also i have all my setups at .8 ohm dual coil or less and i found that i was getting a hot button after seconds of use, so i found a thread that said the magnets may be the cause and sure enough they were. I am NOT saying this is the case for everyone, so no one with magnet switches need be offended, but in my experience they didnt perform well under sub ohm, but worked fine 1ohm plus.

BmoreJeff - I have magnets on my GGTS's and that does happen, worked in a welding shop and had to clean the magnets often. The spring on the JGG is nice and tight so I don't think I am going to replace it.

As far as the parts I did not think they were going to be available till later, I was looking at getting a few brass pieces myself.

yeah cleaning it was a pain, the springs i think personally are better anyway.

i hope bruce has spares for parts that are defective. i may sound picky but i want my brass jgg to be perfect, and i keep looking at this black dot on the air control ring and it bothers me. i dont want an extra, i will mail back my defect for a perfectly spot free ring.

you do not sound picky. A JGG should look perfect.
