aal, you were the one that said a few months ago that putting battery upside down is not safe because if its cover is damaged we will have a short. And you were right of course. You forgot it? lol

I did??? Hahaha I don't remember. Yes you have a hard short only if you press the button. On the other hand if it is right side up and the cover is damaged you will have a loaded short that might burn without pressing the button so both are bad lol :D

imeo: is it true that there are silver plated springs for button and battery available now for jgg?

I did some tests with the plated springs that I found by mistake in JGG. Anyway with a clean brass spring no difference at all!!! The only difference as I see it is that silver plating delays tarnish. But the possibility of the plating wearing out is also there. Plus if the plating is not well made it makes conductivity worse.
