My Just GG and Ithaka arrived this week. These were the last items on my wish list since I started vaping almost a year ago:
Because I'm fairly new to RBA's and mechs, I've tried a few clones of both mechs and the Ithaka, to see if I would like them....and I loved them. I'm so in love with them that I haven't used them yet. It's a kind of reverence thing, like knowing what you're getting for Christmas, but still waiting for Christmas before opening/using, if that makes any sense.
Talk about babying this thing. So far, I've been content to just hold it and look at it. Of course, I'll use it, and soon, but it's sort of like having a collectible ________, and using it, lowers it's value. I got a clone about 4 months ago and have been amazed at everything that has gone into the Ithaka. I wouldn't have gotten the Just GG and Ithaka, had I not tried out the clone, and if what I'm saying here is just plain blasphemy, please forgive me, but I had to know, as this combo has been my largest investment to date in vape gear, or at least the same as a Russian designed/German engineered combo device I also just got.
I made up my mind a long time ago, that when I could get a first class, top of the line mechanical and integrated RBA, it would be the GG, and the wait and anticipation has consumed me for months. I am so very happy to be part of the family, and consider myself to be just so blessed in my VapeQuest.
My friends all pushed me away from this direction, because of the complexity of the coils, the cost, etc., but that just made me want it more. Anything worth having always has these issues. I'm literally floating on cloud nine, and I need a good pinch to bring me down to Earth. I feel like I just found a Stradaverius in the attic, or something. It's a hard feeling for me to describe, an almost overwhelming sense of pride and good fortune. I've only been vaping for a little less than a year, but I've worked hard to learn everything about vaping and taken hundreds of steps to get from my little ego 650's to the JGG/Ithaka.
I've known since I joined ECF in February that ECF is a special place. But now I feel like I'm part of a special place of a special place. I'm not normally tongue tied, and don't often struggle to put words to my thoughts, but my JGG, and my pure unadulterated awe has just stopped me dead in my tracks. I can only thank you guys and the many videos on these devices that I have watched over and over, practically every day, for months now, that has enabled me to arrive here. Language just doesn't begin to do this gear justice. It's clumsy and ugly, inelegant and inadequate when it comes to describing my feelings, my joy, my profound sense of accomplishment. I just love it. I get it. I'm blessed. Forgive my rant, but I was about to explode, and had to share. Thank you for listening. Thank you Imeo!!
