Does the just gg venting cap have a fuse built in or is it just a spring?

I was going to order an axis with a fuse for the GGTS (out of stock, bah!) but then i thought why don't i just order the full just gg venting cap.

sour it does have built in protection. Here is some great info for you on justGG

Awesome yankee. What grit did you stop at on the brushed finish. I am very scared about brushing the bottom tube because of engravings. What would you fill the engravings with first some toothpaste or some kind of putty...

Well the tubes I started low. I'd start higher if using power or try 3M. I did start at 220 but it doesn't take long to take down. Then a pass over with 650 and a wet 2000 (feathered it in). You can start 220 but be careful if using a drill. Especially if the drill (really the battery) is new and holds a charge well. If I had to do this over with only sandpaper, I would see what it looked like by hand. (Got a new dewalt that was screaming to be broken in). Key would be to check often. I actually prefer shallower engravings so I do like the engraving that's left. But it doesn't leave me many "touch up brushes" left. The touch ups will have to be by hand for sure.

The ring I spent quite a but of time with 220 to erase the knurlings (using the drill). Then as they almost faded I switched to 650 and finished with wet 2000. I did the same with a brass ring to use on my brass GGTS. But I do need some more fine work with wet 2000 by hand to blend it. The ring project was a gauntlet thrown down by jojo a couple weeks ago when the JGGs came in. But before I have her that ring above, I had to photograph it. I'll do another ring soon.

Oops. The photo below shows the ring. The one above shows the JGG parts on GGTS. Both are the same TS.

Cool man it looks great. I will post some pics when I get home later today of the knurled rings I sanded. I was going to do it last night but  got in the way. How long did it take you to get the ac ring smooth. I am crazy and did it by hand and started with 60 grit and a lot of elbow grease and that grit alone took about 15 minutes to do then moved on to 100, 220, 400, 600, 1000 and 1500 all wet sanding except for the 60 grit. In terms of the brush if I did it I would stop around 600 too...

Great, thanks!!

Oh i see, depends on what type spring you use. Are the fuse springs the same as for the GGTS?

Sorry I kind of misread it. If it were a justGG there is no plastics so there is no need for it. But on ggts I can understand why you want it but I personally would not worry about it.

esmokeguru does have the fuse spring in stock but not the post...

I remember imeo saying he ran justGG on a full battery and had the button pushed down and ran it till it died and there was no damage to justGG it was still fully functional. Please correct me if im wrong imeo lol

why do you want the fuse upgrade. I honestly pulled the reg springs out of all my ggts bottoms and run it like that...

Here is a picture of the knurled ring on the ggts top cap sanded down. Sorry for the bad photo and the dirty gg :) but you can see how it looks. All in all it was pretty easy to do :)

Nice. Different outlook after JGGs rings isn't it. I had a few rings so sanding some down isn't hurtful for me :)

Yea I like the way it looks. Maybe ill get a pic of it all polished up later this pic does not do justice. I do have some extra rings too so it's all good I def would not do this to all of them but it is a nice change.

you are not wrong dusty. justGG was like new, exept the small plastic inside the SS axis cover. It melted a little. But this plastic is not useful when you use justGG in solid mod. But even if the plastic melts, you just put an o-ring there and you are ok again
