Thanks so much for ur input! I'm glad I asked about the Brasso!! Sharkhide? Wow, is this like a chamois, I'm assuming.. Do u know if he uses a particular polish with that or does he just use the hide & elbow grease?

Thanks

Sharkhide is the actual polish. Just use a good microfiber cloth with it...

Not that cheap. But it is GREAT stuff. If you can find someone to split a 1 pound can @ #39.99 or even better more people to split a 2 pound can for $59.99 plus the shipping. If you do order a can of Sharkhide it must be mixed first prior to using or splitting up.

Great info, thank you gtbb!! Would u say it slows down tarnishing better than your maas or mother's metal polishes?

I have used Mothers years ago and remember liking it. Then found out about Sharkhide from a local boater about five years ago. I went half on a can with him and just fell in love with it. It is self etching so coat after coat will build up a nice bit of protection. That protection can be washed off thou with detergents. I rinse with tap water and dry with micro cloths.

are you talking about Sharkhide polish? Mixed with what? Or do you mean stirred?

....or, are you talking about the cleaner? Self etching?
