Its light and looka like a mirror. Stainless steel is heavier (we have a table with weights here in the forum).
Nickel turns a bit red when used whereas Aluminium starts to get black.
Hope that helps for a start.

Cheers Guys.. The serial is #1165

The only thing that is still a GGTS is the engraving button tube & SS Rethreader. As I've upgraded everything with JGG Parts. And the Oddy is just the MP & SS tank and Top Cap inside is a Ithaka.. Because of shortage of SS tank for Ithaka..

Really like the GG Brand as everything is interchangeable.. You can customise til your hearts content..

Problem with that is you always have spare parts.. Which you say to yourself if it get this or that.. I could build another Ithaka/Oddy hybrid or GGTS/JGG hybrid

Thank you Imeo & friends for making this possible.. ;)

Kind Regards

Chris

Much appreciated ;)

Weight is a major one. Nickel plated GGTS are much lighter then the SS. Also the engravings could help but I am not an expert there as they have changed much. But if it is a very deep engraving it is SS or one of the recient brass GGTS. Also the connector cap. if it is knurled it is either Aluminum or Nickel. If it is smoothe with a hole or kings notched like a gear it is SS. One exception I know of is the brass connector caps were smoothe but other then the COV edition I think all of those were bought as parts and added. Color is a big give away as well. SS when polished should be very silvery the Nickel is typically slightly colored but also highly mirrored so it will kinda reflect the colors it is around.

By looking at the serial it checks out being a nickel plated tube and it used to be in Russia.

I'm so glad you're actually using it! Such a BEAUTIFUL combo :toast:

it would be my all day, every day vape if i didn't live in constant fear of dropping it!:)LOL
i am extremely hard on vape gear thats why i love the GG! the stainless is virtually indestructible. dropped the ithaka and Jgg probably 10 times this week alone(damn northeast cold and my aging hands). only lost 1 tank.

this past summer i ran over my stealth ody setup twice with the tractor. both times picked it up wiped the mud off and continued vaping! lol

i would cry a river if i did that to my precious nickel ...(yes rivernut, pun intended:))
